Game Review:: Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht

Thousands of years into the future, mankind has abandoned Earth and exists only in deep space. Having used their advanced technology to unlock the secrets of the universe, humanity hopes to do the same with the Zohar, a powerful and mysterious artifact reputedly existing since the dawn of time.
But a hostile alien life form, the Gnosis, brutally attack at every turn. Why? Unbeknownst to mankind, the race to unlock the final mystery, and to embrace an uncertain destiny, has begun.
When I played this game the first time the graphics blew me away! What got me addicted to this game was the story. The story (in my opinion) is what held this game together. If this game had a weak story it would have been another Final Fantasy wannabe. The Xenosaga series will definitely give the makers of the Final Fantasy series a run for their money. The drawback to this game is the thirty minute cut scenes. There is not enough game play. But there are a whole lot of fun mini-games to play. This game is beautiful. I give it two thumbs up.
