Today I've been able to grab the latest vBulletin patch. This patch allowed us to get all fixes included in version 3.8.5 and 3.8.6 and is mainly a security fix.

Here I already made an announcement, where I ask users to update their passwords for a specific patch to take effect. For people who have no admin rights on this or other forums it's not a big deal (except maybe for their account getting hacked), but for those who have means a huge security hole. I really do recommend you...

Today the arcade has been updated to the latest version. This release brings the ability to hold tournaments, which IMO was really missing in the old one. Other than that is just a bug fix release.

Here it comes again ... April fools ... the best day in the year for some (and the worst for others).
This year we chose to be relatively mean on ACF, so we made a pretty evil theme and forced it on everyone. The theme consists of different extreme text sizes of the default one. A lot of people already thought we were hacked and what not. We shall see how this turns out ...

Today we have updated the first page (aka the index). There is not much to tell you about it, since there are no features for you to use. The layout has been made, so it matches the default forum one, links have been updated, now the site knows who you are (it works with the forum's user database) and Mac can finally make posts without editing the code. Later I'm going to add the styles of the other forum layouts, so users will see the index as they see the forum.

In my last blog entry about the forum upgrade I said Jelsoft doesn't plan any more updates. By my big surprise they changed their mind and made another bugfix release.

vBulletin version 3.8.4 addresses various performance issues and some aesthetic ones.
