This is a serious topic.
I just think the whole thing that happened in Newark was digusting and I guess I wanted to get the word out.
~THE STORY~
There was a boy named Eddie (age 17) who eventually became the woman named Gwen. (She idolized Gwen Stafani) He came out to his family on Thanksgiving and they were all pretty cool w/ it. His mother even went shopping for new clothes and they even discussed breast sizes. The only problem was the neighborhood. They discriminated against her b/c of her being a boy in the past.
It wasn't really anything new. [S] he used to play w/ Barbies and that kind of thing. I suppose the community just didn't wanna accept that sort of thing. Her metting up w/ 'The 3 Stooges' was the begining of the end. Gwen wanted to party and she wanted to party w/ men. The guys couldn't get enough of her and she gave them what they both wanted.
Eventually the dudes became suspiscious. It all started as a joke really. "Is she really a he?" But they had their own reasons to suspect. After seeing Gwen fight (she fought like a guy) and having to 'use the other door' b/c 'she was on her pd' was enough for them but they were angry and they thought something should be done about the 'fag'.
And...they killed her/him.
She pleaded w/ them...'Please don't I have a family...'
I suppose if the dudes weren't so uber macho they would probably have just beaten her or something, but they KILLED HER.
They story seems to be everywhere now. I found it in the lastest issue of the Rolling Stone (Green Day is on the cover) and nearly cried.
And I wanted to know pple opinion on it and if there is anyone Trans I'd like to hear what its like from you...

Personally, I think it's wrong to change sex.
Of course, tell that to the person who wants to do it; they won't listen and they'll do it anyway.
The problem here is that there are people who are born "faulty"; they're neither male nor female. More like inbetween, or they would've been males, but didn't develop fully to men.
These people are looked down on because they don't really have a sex; they're a mixture of two sexes.
But the biggest problem is the world today and what kinds of people there are in it; there are these "hobby transsexuals" who alter their bodies "for fun" or because they're perverse pigs who want to touch themselves and lets others touch them.
I know a few exemples of that.
Anyway, I'll write more later. Need to rush.

This is the kind of discrimination i hate, escpecially against homosexuals, and transexuals. It's their choice and no one has te right to say other wise. You have to be straight or dead... Peple should stop discriminating againt them. I think they are scared of them or something. I would happily talk to a gay or transexual, without predjudice. Nothig will change if a freind "comes out of the closet" I'd still reapect them. Nothing will have changed but the truth. I'd be happier knowing that they were comfterable with theoir sexuality. I'm disgusted with those peole who killed them! Terrible. I hope they get put behind bars for a very long time!

In Memory of Gwen Araujo
Gwen Araujo dreamed of becoming a Hollywood make up artist. She has been described as a beautiful person both inside and out and always smiling. She always thought of herself as a girl, preferred the name Gwen, and always wanted a sex change. She lived in Newark, CA, a small town 30 miles from San Francisco, the supposed gay capital of the United States.
At age 14, Gwen had the courage to come out to her parents. She grew out her hair and wore crop tops and women's jeans. Finally, at age 17, she borrowed her friend's miniskirt and her mom's blouse and had the courage to go out in a skirt as herself for the first time.
"[S]he went through a lot of pain, and people didn't respect h[er], her mother, Sylvia Guerrero, said. "It took a lot of guts. [S]he's strong, and [s]he finally came out."
Gwen went to a house party introduced as "Lida," and passed as a beautiful girl. That is until Paul Merel's girlfriend discovered in the bathroom that she was transsexual, and announced it at the party. Authorities say that Michael William Magidson, 22, Jose Antonio Merel, 22, and Jaron Chase Nabors, 19, punched Gwen in the face, beat her, gashing her face, and then dragged her to a garage while she was semi-conscious and strangled her with rope until she was killed. The men then allegedly tied her wrists and ankles, wrapped her in a bedsheet, and drove her body to Silver Fork Campground, about 100 miles away in El Dorado County.
Paul Richard Merel Jr., 25, Paul Merel's brother, was also arrested with the others, but released Friday. Magidson, Paul Merel, and Nabors are charged with murder and also face a hate-crime enhancement.

A candlelight vigil was held for Gwen by 100 friends and family members on Friday evening. "I am overwhelmed by the support this community has shown," her mother said, "but I am also shocked and scared this has happened in this small town." Guerrero also expressed hope that her daughter's death was not in vain. The family plans to bury Araujo in a dress and in makeup, and to call her Gwen on her tombstone. Contributions may be sent to Eddie Araujo Jr. Memorial Fund, San Benito Bank, 300 Tres Pinos Road, Hollister, CA, 95023. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
This is yet another case in the trend of violence against the transgender community, and, more disturbingly, escalating murders of transgendered youth. In Washington, D.C. last August, Stephanie Thomas, 19, and Ukea Davis, 18, to transgendered girls, were both shot dead in their car. Last year, a 16-year-old transgender Navajo teen named Fred Martinez Jr., who wore makeup and carried a purse, was killed in Cortez, Colorado. In 1999, 19-year-old transsexual Alina Marie Barragan was strangled to death in San Jose.
The public needs to be educated about transgenderism and transgender oppression, and these killings must stop. Transgendered related murders happen over once a month. For an attempt at the most complete list of transgender murders, visit remembering our dead.
The media has been fairly ignorant about this story. The story has gotten a lot of press, which is good, but Gwen is always referred to as he, when she was clearly transsexual. Many versions of the story also say that Gwen was beaten once her "true gender" was discovered. Gwen's "true gender" was female--it was her sex that was discovered, and many would even object to the idea that Gwen's "true" sex was male.
Gay activist Wiggsy Silversteen was quoted as saying, "We really have a responsibility to be very vocal, particularly with cross- dressing boys, that this is a dangerous world for them." While this is true, the lesson to be learned from this tragedy is not that we should scold and scare crossdressing boys. The solution is not to blame the victim, to tell teens to stop crossdressing. The lesson is that we need more education, more visibility, more writing and more activism to make this a safer world for all trans youth and transgendered people.

Well I don't think she/he should have got murdered for how they were. So the only people at fault were the parents it seems for letting their child become that way. This is my POV. Parents are supose to love their children, not ignore them, maybe she/he wanted attention, so she/he did this. Who knows? Not me. I cannot judge people by the way they look, she/he may have been the nicest person on this planet.
So I refuse to vote for any of the choices listed above.

A child, a very young person was murdered. Not in battle, not accidentally, not in a street fight or a waterfront brawl, but simply because of a preference of display in terms of gender, sexuality, dress, and even behavior!

I think most of you here remember the time when I told everyone to f*** off and that everyone are all pathetic idiots?
And the complaints the admins got about me, asking if they could somehow suspend me or set me back to normal member instead of mod?
I do that sometimes, without even caring.
There's always a background to that kind behaviour. Something that triggers it.
What I'm trying to say is that I'm not blaming slayer for the way he is. I'm not expecting him to like me or accept me either.
I'm just saying I can relate to the way he is, all too much.
Though I know it aggravates you, Frank. It's never worth wasting energy on hating someone or something. Use that energy for something else instead. You're just aggravating yourself with this.

Does it mean we are willing to let people condamn others to hell just because they think its fun and for the reason behind this one which is cold-heartedness? I personally find it irrelavent.
I did not say that. What I meant is Slayer doesn't care what happens to others, nothing we can say wiil change him.

Slayer has been asked many times to tone his opinion down, ACF forums, PMs, and IM, think it does any good? No. So why bother asking him?
This thread has lost its meaning now, no longer about trannies, but about Slayer of God. I am locking it. If it is to be reopened, mods and admins are welcomed to it. Just clean it up.
