Kilala is the Americanized version of Kirara's name. Now, you see why I don't like watching the Adult Swim versions of Inuyasha?? The Americanized versions almost ALWAYS pronounce the names wrong!

Japanese => English names.

1.) Kirara (should sound more like Key-rara and the r's sound a little rolled but not much) => Kilala (they got the ki sounding right, but not everyone can make the rara part sound right, so they changed it to the l's.)
2.) Shippo (proper pronunciation should sounds more like sheep-oh) => Ship-oh (that's how it is pronounced in English.)
3.) Miroku (should sound like Me-ro-ku only faster and not drawn out) => Mer-oh-ku (pernounced in English...at least, that's how it sounds to me.)
4.) Kagome (Should sound like Kah-go-may) => Kuh-GO-may (again...as I hear it in English versions)

I could go on and on forever with the pronunciation discrepencies, but I won't. It's basically the same with any other anime out there that has been Americanized for our viewing pleasure.
