I think life is not for everyone...really I do. Some people are better off dead.

Why? Just dead? Like a bug that irritated you? And who are you or anyone to judge the general continued existence of anyone elsd?
Are you qualified to be the grand arbiter of life and death? By whose appointment? Or are you self-appointed?
No offense intended, but .......
(Hiro, you gotta quit, already)
Well, this is just a discussion topic. I'm just curious on what people think.

Death is needed to get rid of the bad.

Granted! And, again, no offense intended. Sorry, Sei, talking before I'm thinking. Bad habit, gotta get over it.
Apology accepted?
He's gone for the day. Wait for a reply tomorrow.

Can I post my reply on life?
I feel that life is a gift for one and all. If you kill yourself then no, you don't deserve such a wondrous gift. It is the experiences we share, what we go through: troubles and pleasures alike. Life should be loved and treated with respect. I say respect because it's something given to us. We should not take for granted that we are given life, we should all cherish every moment.
So, getting rid of the unneeded stuff >.< Life is the first journey in ones existence. Everyone deserves it unless they kill themselves. It is a joyous and wondrous thing that all should not take advantage of.

I wasn't offended. I am fine. I never let my emotions get the best of me on this forum. Other forums maybe.

Life to me is like a personal Hell. Everything is the
same boring crap over and over. It never stops!
I do wish for death, but fear what will happen to my
family if I dare leave them behind in this Hellhole.
Life ain't nothing special, it's not a gift, it's a curse.
Sometimes I just feel like I am a waste of space and energy, and there's no real point to my exsistance.
When I was a kid, I use to pray to be something cool
something worthy, but none of that ever happened.
I am just here to help destroy the earth and take up
time.
*sighs* there's no point to my life, its just one crap
hole after another...oh well.

Life is the ability to see beyond despair. To hear the songs of birds and sea rather than the death knell. To taste beyond the ocean rime and slimy silt, and know instead, the sweetness of a lover's breath, the honey of a bee. To feel beyond the roughness of a coral reef and caress, instead, the silken softness of a lady's thigh. To smell beyond a rotting corpse and know the fragrance of a rose, an orchid's gift ,
the Lang-I-Lang blossom.
These, to me, embody some of what life is. It is also the ability to see the stars, to search for atoms, to wonder at the oceans and the mountains. The diversity and quantity and performance which life gives, is answer unto itself.
Since this topic seemed to come to a stand still, i would like to add to the discussion.
Do you think that our future is written in books and so fortune tellers can forsee our future lives, in other words, is our future fixed and we have to follow how its predicted to be.
or
Do we get to form our own futures with our own mind and will?

*is answering the second question*
Yes and no. Our ultimate end (where we go when we die) is decided, our jobs are decided, all major things such as marriage is all decided. However your decisions to get there are your own. Like...sometimes you can do something, just 2 different ways (meaning no right or wrong) and the way you get there is up to you. but in the end our major events in our life are decided. As for when you have a right and wrong decision, no we don't make it up ourselves, it's been decided already, we just think we're doing it on our own, we feel like we are, but in the end it's destiny. ^_^;

to answer the three questions:
1.- Life is a dream
2.- Yes
3.- Yes
it is written, but, we can change our future, our colective future is death, there is no escape, no matter what...

Fate is preordained. It can be altered, but even that alteration is written in the books of Fate. The conclusion, as was pointed out, is that with an effort
and recognition between Good and Evil and following the path of Good, one's Fate need not be bad, pre-ordained though it may have been.
I am currently in the state of life where I don't really give much of a crap about anything. I feel like I want to tear my inside out and scream till my voice disappears...

life? well, i had thought of life as a cruel and utter hatefest, sometimes a wasteland, a complete waste of time, effort and breath. i had no contempt for it whatsoever, because then all i saw was suffering. my suffering, which is not so cool.
but now, i think i know better. life hasn't changed though. but i had learned to accept it as it is. it's harsh, but what can i do? or course i can't waste myself over it. i had so much more to learn and to experience and feel.
a person had taught me this: "life is a b*tch, but b*tches are always beautiful."
rrright. so there. now, now that i got over the fact that awful things happen, i learned to appreciate. just that. appreciate everything, even the not-so-good things [or people], because whatever had happened and whatever i have now is what makes me, and i love myself so i love everything. life is beautiful, with all its complexities and varieties, endless posibilities all for the taking.
that's why no matter how hard it gets, nothing can be as bad and impossible as it is.

I suppose your view on life changes depending on your mood. So I suppose life is dependant on your mood. If you're happy you love life. if you're upset you want it to end. Yet usually you don't mean what you say or think when you're upset.
Then again for some people they do hate life completely and regret it when they have a moment when they realise life is good.

Well let me see.... it's pretty hard to really try to put it in the "really plain and simple", but here's a go.... Life is kinda like a long or for some of us short trail/jorney/adventure. It could go ANYWHERE and that's why it's so hard/easy/normal/weird. Everyone starts at different places so there are always something different about thier life from yours. But reguardless of that paths are crossed and people meet and dicide weather to keep going on together or maybe meet back up in the future or to never see one another again. You go to all kinds of places in your life. As you get older you travel to more and more places, and i'm not talking about years, I mean day by day.
That to me, in a little way, is what life means to me. *closes eyes and smiles softly* So I hope I don't sound or seem stupid for how I think of life.......

..my views? I find life pretty...um...interesting. Bit of an adventure. When you actually sit down and think about it, life is a pretty wierd thing. It's funny how everything turned out the way they did. I must be strange or something but I'm amused by the slightest thing, like walking, or seeing. At one point in my life I suffered from really bad depression (ok, not one point, a good solid few years) but now it's like I don't have time for it and try and enjoy as much as I can in life whilst I'm here. I have had a different outlook on life ever since my cousin commited suicide, seeing the way how it affected everyone (family, friends, poeple who didn't even know him...). Now, I feel sad when people want to do things like that to themselves. Stop focusing ont the things that are making your life bad, but focus on the good. Then life will start looking a little brighter :)
I understand my views. Wether or not anyone else understands them is a different matter. If you do, well done.

Life is the paradox of contradiction. We live yet we die. All exists and all does not exist at the same time. The spectrum of reality contains contradictory yet necessary components.

Basically, there is no life without death, there is no 'good' without 'evil', there is no PLUS without a MINUS...Neither can exist without the other
Reality is a state of balances...basically, the universe is one HUGE equation which adds up to what it is you see

This is not strictly true. A school of thought requires chaos to be the genesis and motivating force for this universe. And to try to simplify anything to the the point of ascribing reality only to that which can be seen, ignores that most of science, itself , is not seen.

It's like this..
Life is a never-ending field of daisies.
When one daisy withers, another blooms. And, every daisy has it's own reality. It's own aspects and goals, troubles and happy times. Like, when the sun rises above the large field illuminating and bringing life and joy [or somewhat] to it. Or, when caught in a rainy storm.
And so.. Life never ends as the daisies reproduce [in a way] and on and on.
I'm not too good at explaining, but oh well. x]

Life is something to be treasured. Life is something that we all should be thankful for. But I'm not for the life I've had that's for sure. My real thoughts on life: There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
