A japanese film about a blind wanderer who everyone is hunting. A very witty and bloody film. Has anyone watched this?

I have seen the re-make film, but i aint seen the originals. The re-make was class, very funny and some good action. Definatley worth my (pound sign <my keyboard is stuck on usa>)5.50 cinema ticket >_<

The only thing that was bad about it was the cheese cgi blood and sword

The blood was the fakest thing you would ever have seen but if you've seen Kill Bill, I guess it's no better than the effects there.

I did'int think the blood effects were that bad in kill bill, at least when compared to zatoichi ^_^ . Ow every time i think of zatoichi i get flashbacks on the sceen where he stabs someone through the chest and that tacky cgi sword and blood comes out the otherside of the dude ^_^ it was class.

Have you ever seen the originals ? are they any good if so.
