my english teacher, who is a total biznitch, told us to write a poem from a different perspective. so i worote a poem from a prince to a princess.

to kiss thy lips, so silky crimson like
unfolding petals of a dew laced rose
a much preferred engagement for my mouth
than to profane thy ears with honeyed prose

to feel thy skin, so lily-white and fair
like winter sun, enveloping and warm
but i have sinned! to bruise this frailty with
uncivil hands unworthy of thy form

to run my fingers through thy auburn hair
and see the tinge of violent in thine eyes
carress thy rounded cheeks fushed posie pink
and hear thee speak to me in tender sighs

to say thy name, repeat it as a prayer
a scret whisper, spoke with bated breath
this word left ringing in the still night air
my life, my love, my Lady Lisabeth

i think it's kinda stupid, myself
