WELL! Since we are all in this together, dont mind if I worm my way into this by doing the following...
RULES!
1. Fun must be had by both sides
2. You must work out any lingering kinks in your verbal abilities before the tournament.
3. While you are fighting each other, with the characters you will be using in the tournie, make sure to not only think of ways to beat your opponent since our opponents will prolly think of the same thing in our own fights in the tournie, but also about how to work together welll as well as ways to block/go around the weaknesses in strategy you see in battle that you think is obvious to your foes in the future.
4. Naturally, this will be done in Open style due to the fact that this tournament is of that style.
5. I'll sorta semi-judge this for you both. Any questions on your proformance, you've got my AIM, give me a shout out.
6. You will be fighting...HERE!: A modern city, completely ravaged by some unknown force. Dead lay about, fires blaze everywhere, and none but our characters and yours are alive in the city. Vehicles and the such line the shattered streets, burning patches of grass sporadically placed across the landscape.
7. Uh...have fun and all that jazz. I'll be WATCHIN you...
OH! and post your character bio's with your Introduction posts.

The city was devastated. Buildings lay in ruin, cars were reduced to mere hunks of metal, fire burned anywhere that had something to feed it. Bodies lay crumpled on the sidewalk and trapped under pieces of debris. More still had been reduced to a mixture of ash and blackened bone. Smoke rose into the noonday sky in thick black columns, tainting the bright sapphire with an ominous obsidian.
A lone figure walked slowly into the destruction, searching in distress for any sign of life. He had noticed the smoke earlier that morning off to his left. Abandoning his northward route, he decided to see what had happened. An hour later, the smoke had lessened, but the boy's curiousity was satisfied nonetheless as he entered the city.
He couldn't help but wonder what had happened here. What could have caused such massive annihilation? How many lives had expired this morning? The questions raced through his mind continuously as he worked his way deeper into the city, thinking that maybe he would find the cause at the heart of the town. After all, many fatal diseases in mortals were of the heart...or so he had been told.
As he walked, he noted the dead with sorrowful eyes, and wrinkled his nose at the foul stench that surrounded them. Time passed, and the trek continued. The world transformed itself into an ethereal monotony of death and destruction. It was nightmarish, and to the swordsman, it seemed that he had traveled back in time...back to when his journey began. His mind raced, and his subconscious brought back the memories. Painful memories. Memories that were not far from his current reality.
The boy dropped to a knee, clutching his head momentarily, before leaping up and sprinting down the street. He willed the memories away, eventually, fighting them off gradually. Finally, when they were gone, he drew to a halt and caught his breath, turning his mind to what he would do to those responsible when he found them; surely this could not have been caused by an individual.
Not wishing to waste time, the boy moved on, while simultaneously preparing himself for the fight he knew to be just over the horizon. Surveying the landscape, he decided that speed would be of no use to him here. There was too much rubble and debris. If he tried to use that power here, he may well trip and injure himself. No, here he would have to rely upon his lightning majick and his blade. Hopefully he would be able to get in at close range.
His thoughts came to a stop as he looked ahead. He could see the center of the devastation. There had clearly been a blast, and he was now before the area where the explosion had occured. Rings of black surrounded the zone of the origin. Around that was a large ring in which there was no debris whatsoever, about seventy-five feet in diameter. Furthermore, there was no sign of the being or beings responsible. Under the mat of silvery hair, the swordsman turned red in fury, and in the abnormal, ominous silence that remained settled over the ruins, he began to search.

Jasper walked through the city after waking up, he remembered some kind of blast and after raising his own sheild of wind he saw that people arround him were collapsing, some clutching at their chests some with their flesh falling off, and the very winds themselves reeked of something destructive that was there for an instant and left the dead in it's wake.
After wandering about this for a few minutes Jasper found himself in the town center where the remains of a large fountain were surrounding a perfect crater that fit within the confines of the outer rim. Seeing as how there was nothing for him to descover here except a large hole and more dead bodies, more disfigured than the direction he came from but still prety much intact.
The scent of destruction was still heavy on the wind and he hated it, so he raised his arms to the sky and with a twist of his hands the winds started to move. They moved untill the scent of death and destruction were only faint memories of what they were. After this, he only wanted to rest and try to figure out what was going on, so he sat down leaning against one of the walls of an empty ruin that was once a house. Closing his eyes, he rested.
