The tavern Gungnir was one bathed in the darkness of the outside world as it sat among the trees in the darkest part of the woods.

Inside dim light filtered in from each corner from small crystals that floated in the air with a soft blue light, a larger crystal floated in the center of the tavern, bringing in a soft light that complemented the mythical air of the establishment. The wooden flooring was well polished and for a tavern in the middle of the woods it was quite clean. The cleanliness had to be the owners doing of course.

The wall behind the bar was covered in nothing but rows and rows of different alcohols, from Vodka to the most expensive Pinot Grigios. The woman behind the counter seemed a little off, She was pale skinned with seemingly magenta colored hair that fell in curls over her shoulders and down her back, although it was hard to establish the true color due to the pale light, however the light caught the glimmer in her red eyes. She wore a soft blue dress with a white cropped jacket that had quarter length sleeves and dark blue trim. The boots she wore were worn with much use and stopped just under her knee, and were laced with a thick ribbon. She worked diligently to keep the counter she was behind clean.

"I hope someone arrives soon" She said softly as she took a short break from her work. She looked over to the large stained glass window that threw colors all over the floor thanks to the moonlight that peered in through it. She gave a soft smile as she turned her eyes away from it and went back to cleaning the counter.

frank, with Sarah, returning from their latest quest, saw this new tavern and thought to stop and stay a bit, sampling the best this Gungnir had to offer.

dear frank, yes let's stop and rest for you a bit, perhaps more?

"Very well, my love. But it seems so quiet even out here. But it can't hurt to tarry the while. Shoden will stay the guard, of course."

*That said, Sarah buzzed her litle wings, excitedly, flew up to frank's shoulder, and kissed him as only Sarah can.*

Entering the tavern they saw it clean and polished and waxed, with a gentle feeling about it. Deciding not to wait for invite, they entered, found a small table that put frank's back to the wall and sat comfortably.

The woman noticed the two enter and gave a smile before heading towards them. "Hello and welcome to Gungnir, how may I be of service?" There was something familiar about the man seated at the table but many years of exile in this vast forest has left her blank on placing a possible name to the face as she simply smiled as she waited for response.

"Some Rigellian wine, if you have it. For me. Sarah would like some pixie, honey nectar from the Moon (thinking of his Little Sister and Elva), if your goodly tavern stocks any such. If not, the best your house will recommend is fine, I'm sure. And we thank you very much, for your attention.

(So many years, so much time gone by, faces almost gone and surely dim....) With a quiet sigh, frank is brought out of his reverie by his lovely faerie.

dear frank, you know her from long, long ago. I can tell. From before I came into your life. So long ago. Please introduce me, properly.

"And let me introduce my Sarah, who is really upset that I didn't before. Forgive. This little creaure on my shoulder is my angel faerie, Sarah. My love and lover, who is quite shameless in all that, but still, without her we would both perish."

frank began to wonder about the solitude, the quiet, the lack of other patrons. Perhaps they couldn't be seen. But nothing seemed amiss.

She looked at them both and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, I'll bring your order in just a moment." She walked away from the two and headed to the bar to search out what he had asked of her. As she poured the drinks something came to her mind, a face and a memory.

She grabbed the side of her head were there was a faint scar from a serious wound half hidden in her mass of dark pink hair. The memory was too jumbled, it hurt to try and remember. She took in a deep breath before placing the drinks on the tray and bringing them back.

"Here you are, forgive me for the delay." She smiled. "Is there anything else I can get you two?"
