final Fantasy Villians

Who is the greatest Final fantasy villian?

I think Sephiroth b/c well the guy virtually became a "god".
I also here some ppl say Kefka b/c...just because he can.
What do yall think?

From what i know Kefka is considered most powerful villian due to redesigning continents,bieng immune to magic, and other such things.

Venat & Vayne(XII)
Maybe not that high on the list of power,but interestingly one could say they suceeded in thier goal, which turns out was quite noble. Thier loyalty to one another was quite something too, Venat could've ditched but instead displayed it's gratitude in the form of one last stand together.

I would have to say they were the most human of all the antagonists i've seen.

Sephiroth is the best final fantasy villain, easily. I also the idea of sin from final fantasy X, where even if you defeat it another one will ressurect so you're pretty much in hopeless either way.

LOl Ultimecia is hot but remember, Sephiroth pretty much became a "god" (well almost) you know, becoming one with Gaia while summoning the meteor using the forbidden black materia. Ultimecia would surely loose in a fight with him b/c she needs to posses a sorcerer to be able to influence the past(how many sorcerers was Sephiroth around in his lifetime? none) Now Kefka might've tore the world in half and even be immune to majic but if he was to get in a one-on-one fight with Sephiroth....who would win???? I believe with my heart and soul...Sephiroth...someone give a me a reason why he would not win please and why he would not win against Ultimecia please.

I thought this was a topic about opinions. Now it's turning into a "versus" thread? Not interested in those.

It would be biased for me to say Sephiroth. He is one of my first favorite characters, villain or not, period, so it's hard to say. And to me "greatest villain" does not equal to "strongest villain" or "villain who can kick any other FF villain's butt". I look at them the same way as at other characters: are they interesting? is their story intriguing? is their reason understandable? Not just their abilities and how much ass they can kick. I'll think about it more.

Also, are we talking villains or antagonists too? Assuming antagonist goes against the protagonist only (or protagonist's friends if they get in the way), while villain goes against everyone pretty much. Because Seifer crossed my mind, but I don't really consider him a villain.

In a way I believe there can be no greater or lesser villan in Final Fantasy. The ones we always think of are sure most likely the the greater known characters like Kefka and Sephiroth. Yet all the others shouldnt be ranked out just yet... It was asking for the greatest boss, not the strongest...
