I bought this game ( Disgea 2) and have had it for 2 weeks. I have found a very interesting way to quick level. If you have this game and is tired of spending hours on end (or weeks if you want to hit the level cap 9999) I have found a solution for you. The only thing you need is a Playstation Network Store account.
1. Log on to PSN, go to the Add-ons.
2. @ disgea 2, download the 2 free characters (Sapphire and Plenair).
3. Load your game, go to the dimension guide, go under the one about experimental summoning(or something like that)
4. Choose the one that gives a small cut scene and summons Plenair(surprise Level 100) * Note* IF you choose the one that gives you Sapphire , reload your game as she is at level 100 wants to fight you
5. (AFTER YOU HAVE GOTTEN PLENAIR 1st) the remaining one under experimental summoning should be Sapphire, fight her with Plenair and win and she joins your party. I did this at the very beginning of my game.
6. Once you have beaten Red Waterfalls in Dallos River in Episode 4 (I think) go back to Red Falls. Have Sapphire stand near the bridge( do not go too far on the bridge because you do not want to provoke them right now) and Plenair go up towards the Geo symbol. Get out any character or characters you want to level. end your turn
7. Keep Ending turn until the mobs have leveled enough to give you decent experience ( i.e. your level 15 so let the mobs level to 50 )
have plenair destroy the geo symbol. Now have her make her way back to Sapphire and your character
8. Move Sapphire and your Character you want to level out on to the bridge then have Sapphire Lift your Character. Have Plenair on kinda far away so she just provoke the mobs. End turn
9. The Mobs should start to attack( if they don't have Plenair lift and throw Sapphire closer to the mobs on the bridge)On your turn attack the mob and your character should level up. Kill all the mobs close to you( sometimes the mobs will kill themselves which can be annoying)
10. IF there are mobs left, have Plenair lift Sapphire and throw her closer to the mobs. Attack the mobs in your turn and your lifted characters should level up. repeat as many times as you want. Also this is a good way to get money anywhere from 20k- 86k Hell per stage clear and mana if you do it enough times. his is also an easy way to get subpoenas
This takes 15 mins to do each time.
*note* Plenair does tend to counter attack so keep her away from aggro
range
*note* If you wanted to...you could let the mobs level up past 100 so you could level your level 100 characters too
*Note* the more characters that are stacked on Sapphire then the more the experience points is dispersed among each character. So, then one character being lifted means that that character will jump more levels at a time and level quicker then 9 units stacked on top of each other.
This works in the higher levels to but your going to have level Sapphire and Plenair at least 30-50 Levels hire then the mobs max level(I.E. Adell is level 30. you want to level him to 40 quickly so either have your mobs in their 70s and take a risk at killing your Level 100 doods which could cost a fortune to revive or level Plenair and Sapphire to level 120 or 130 then do it . I am too lazy to level Sapphire and Plenair but I have a ridiculous amount of money and I am only on Ep.9(almost 800K HLs And I have only completed Red Waterfalls 19 times)
