hey! what's your favorite anime? i know this is a hard question 'coz we all love many (besides whenever i'm asked this question, i always draw a blank. like i don't know any anime!) anyway, just choose one. like the most favorite anime (kinda ironic 'coz when you say favorite it should be that one thing you most like, right?) whatever! :)

I thought there was a topic like that, but guess not. There was Top 10 and Top 5 somewhere, not the same thing.

Well my one favorite anime is Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. Original Japanese undubbed and uncut Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. The 224 episodes one, all the GX and 5Ds crap does not exist in my mind.
Mainstream? Perhaps. But it doesn't matter to me. Besides, most people have never seen the original series. I loved all of it. Everything. Even the filler arc. It has been my favorite for many years and shall remain so.

really. i wasn't really a big fan. i've watched a few episodes and it was enough to keep me hanging. like who's gonna win and stuff. but i really am a romanticist i'm quite on the contrary. by the way, why do i feel like we're the only ones online right now? where are all the people!? :)

I wouldn't call myself anything specific like a romanticist. I enjoy every genre if the anime is well done, i love romance a lot as well. Yu-Gi-Oh! just holds a special place in my heart, there isn't much explanation behind it.

well sorry for being sidetracked!
actually, i really can't choose but if i would choose one that HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART :) guess that would still be samurai x 'coz it started everything and i just love it. but i like ouran too. the problem with it is it's cut and they don't have a continuaton yet. but the manga is quite satisfying and am really sorry for yapping about other stuff 'coz am really a talker (or typer:) and am gonna stop now!

I would have to choose a favorite from every genre if i really wanted to list all the special favorites. But that would likely be a long list, since i do watch everything.

Since you like romance though, i'll go with it. My favorite in this genre would be Honey and Clover. It touched me deeply, very realistically portrayed emotions, i could relate to those characters as if i knew them myself. An amazingly done anime overall, not just for romance, i would surely give it perfect marks in all categories.

(I love Ouran too, but it's my 'cheer up' anime. As much as i love it, i would not call it a favorite.)

i don't really watch honey and clover so i won't be able to judge it and i agree with the ouran part. it's really funny so it's good for cheering you up!

Gunslinger Girl. If I could only watch one show over and over, that would be it. Although Elfen Lied comes in a very close second.
