I haven't written a poem in a while, let alone a good poem since early March. This was in my mind since yesterday and I just wanted to write it ^^ there is some meaning to it though I think. First I should say yesterday signifies the past, today signifies the present, and tomorrow signifies the future.

The Dawn of Time

The dawn of yesterday
vanished and unseen
memories forgotten
along this road

The dawn of today
colorful and stunning
memories shared
on this path

The dawn of tomorrow
bright and unnerving
memories locked away
in the distance

Trodden along this road
of the olden days
long lost memories
are now restored

Walking on this path
of the current day
wings spread out
and memories soar

Watching in the distance
of days yet to come
stay with ones you love
as memories are reborn

We may not know it as time passes us by. But, without remembrance, memories are but a thing in the distant past. Life is short, so we go about our day; some remembering too much of the painful memories, others locking out memories altogether and just going on with the current time. Some memories may be painful, others fairly enjoyable. But, we learn from them all as time moves on. Keep your memories close, the good and the bad, follow the lessons learned and make as many fun memories as you can.

I like this. Very much! ^^ Especially the advice in your anuthor's note.

But the poem is very well presented.

Hope to see more of your work, here. ^^
