Misshitsu during Day In Question 2003, and Doll during 13th Floor with Diana. -> and Taboo during Climax Together.
VISUALS
Have the band's visual style changed over the course of their activity?
It changes pretty much every time they go on a new tour lol
How would you describe the band's style in the beginning?
Old-school visual kei with crazy mohaws and lots of make-up. Or something xD
How would you describe their current style?
Uh.. Buck-Tick during Memento Mori tour? ^^; I can't really label them as anything right now.
If they changed styles several times, is there any style (period) you would call your favorite?
I don't think so.. i mean i loved their style of the 80s and i love their style now. But i do miss Atsushi-san's long hair just a little bit ^^;
Is your overall opinion of this band impacted by their visual style?
Not much. Their music, personalities, and attitude are most important. But their style is also very original, so i do love that.
MEMBERS
How would you describe the relationship between band members?
They're like a family. You can tell how much they enjoy performing together.
Which member is your favorite (and their position in the band)?
Sakurai Atsushi, the vocalist and (for the most part) song writer.
Were/Are any of the members involved in side or solo music projects?
Atsushi-san has a solo career going. He was also a member of Schwein, together with Imai-san. Uta-san also has Wild Wise Apes side project going. And Toll-san has something called Yagami Toll & The Blue Sky. And Hidehiko-san has Dropz project. Geez, they sure have a lot going on outside Buck-Tick, eh? xD
If so, did you like their independent music projects?
A big change of opinion here. I love Atsushi's solo songs, but you can still tell it's not Buck-Tick. Some of the music is actually kinda lame and Atsushi's singing pretty much saves it. But that's to be expected since he worked with many different musicians, both experienced and not. The most epic is Atsushi's version of the old song I Like Chopin by Gazebo, it's simply amazing. I still didn't listen to other members' stuff >.>
Were/Are any of the members involved in any non-music projects (movies, voice acting, etc)?
Atsushi-san played the lead character in a short film The Spear of Longinus. He also published a book of poetry.
If so, did you like their non-music projects?
The movie isn't that great. To put it bluntly, there is nothing to catch unless you love Atsushi ^^; I don't have the book of poetry, but i'll be getting it for sure.
Have you ever met any of the members in person (concert doesn't count)?
Sadly, no. And i'd probably faint anyway ^^;
COLLECTION
Do you own all their singles and albums released so far?
On my hard drive, yes.
Do you own all their VHS/DVDs released so far?
No, but i have some.. on my hard drive.
Do you have posters/pictures of them on your walls?
I can't find any posters for sale. But i plan to decorate my new room with printed out pictures.
Do you have any signed merchandise?
No T_T
What other merchandise do you own?
Words by BUCK-TICK 1987-2002 (photobook).
What was the last piece you added to your collection?
Waiting for another photobook to arrive.
OTHER
Did you ever sing their songs in karaoke or otherwise?
They don't release instrumental versions of their songs >.< I do sing along sometimes.
Do you get offended when somebody talks bad about this band?
Oh yes, i do. If you dislike Buck-Tick, go dislike them somewhere a mile away from me >.>
Does this band have an official fan club, and are you a part of it?
There is an official fan club called Fish Tank, but i haven't gotten around to joining yet >.>
Would you stand in the middle of the street and yell "I love >insert band name<!"?
If nobody knows me on that street, and if i'd never have to go back to that street... sure XD Actually, i don't care. I'd do it anywhere.
What one thing do you love about this band (aside from all the things mentioned above)?
That they don't make their personal lives public, aside from a few cute details, like Atsushi-san's love for cats ^^
o.o
BASICS

Linkin Park

America (California)

1996 - present
Genre(s) of their music:
Nu-metal, rapcore, rock, metal
INTRODUCTION
How and when did you find out about them?
Originally, I first heard Crawling on a Kerrang! CD my sister used to have. It's ironic as... back then, I wasn't really into rock music. I can't remember when exactly I first heard this song but the CD is old, so it's probably 1998 - 1999.
What was your first impression?
"Why do I like dis **** even tho it's all crappy screamo stuff, yo?" </rapper>
Seriously. I was kinda surprised that I did like the song, but I did. I think it may have been Mike's rapping that caught me on and with that I realised I could relate to the lyrics. o_o
For how long have you been their fan?
Since I heard "In The End", which is 2003 - that is, if you consider that as when I became a 'hardcore' fan.
SONGS
What was the first song you ever heard?
Crawling, as I said.
What are your top five favorite songs?
Damn.... difficult question:
1) Points of Authority
2) With You
3) Numb
4) Given Up
5) Pushing Me Away
What is your favorite album?
Hybrid Theory ftw.
What songs do you love now that you did not like much at first?
I didn't really like Faint at first, but I got into it and... likewhoa.
Also, the same with "The Little Things Give You Away." It was a slow burner.
What songs did you love more when you first heard them, as opposed to now?
(this doesn't necessarily imply that you dislike those songs now)
Probably Crawling. I listened to it too much.
Did any of their songs ever made you cry (and which ones)?
>_>;;
Numb, but that's because I had an epic AMV in my head to go with it.
Ten favorite song quotes (1-2 lines) and why:
(make sure to provide English translation if the song is in a different language)
1) "You like to think you're never wrong (You live what you've learned),
You have to act like you're someone (You live what you've learned),
You want someone to hurt like you (You live what you've learned),
You want to share what you have been through (You live what you've learned)."
Points of Authority
2) "Tell me what the f*** is wrong with me!"
Given Up
3) "All I want to do is be more like me; and be less like you."
Numb
4) "Giving up a part of me, I let myself become you."
Figure.09
5) "A window grows; catches the eye and cries out a yellow light as it passes me by,
and a young shadowy figure sits in front of a box inside a building of rock with antennas on top."
Frgt10 (potentially one of my favourite lines of all time with regards to ALL music lyrics.)
6) "Some day I'm hoping to close my eyes and pretend
that this crumpled up paper can be perfect again."
Also from frgt10
x_x can't think of anything worth writing now. they're ALL good...

VISUALS
Have the band's visual style changed over the course of their activity?
Only recently, because of the change in genres in Minutes to Midnight.
How would you describe the band's style in the beginning?
Sort of that punk/goth/skater sort of appearance. I mean come on... Chester used to die his hair pink. =/
How would you describe their current style?
A lot more..... well, less punk. Just a bit cleaner-looking and no pink. xD
If they changed styles several times, is there any style (period) you would call your favorite?
Definitely the original.
Is your overall opinion of this band impacted by their visual style?
Hell no. I didn't even know Mike was japanese until I bought his Fort Minor CD.. =/
MEMBERS
How would you describe the relationship between band members?
They obviously get on well. I don't think they've had any arguments and they've trusted each other to put out a very risky album (Minutes to Midnight)
Which member is your favorite (and their position in the band)?
Mike Shinoda. He's the rapper... he's also Japanese. He's awesome.
Were/Are any of the members involved in side or solo music projects?
Well, Mike has done a CD by himself under the name of Fort Minor. Chester is also fronting a side-band called Dead By Sunrise.
If so, did you like their independent music projects?
Fort Minor is the only one that's had an album out. I thought it was brilliant.
Were/Are any of the members involved in any non-music projects (movies, voice acting, etc)?

Do you have posters/pictures of them on your walls?
Only have a pair of LP jeans. >_<

Just their CDs, and an art book that I got for pre-ordering one of their albums.
What was the last piece you added to your collection?
The art book.
OTHER
Did you ever sing their songs in karaoke or otherwise?

Does this band have an official fan club, and are you a part of it?
They probably do but I'm not a part of it. =(
Would you stand in the middle of the street and yell "I love >insert band name<!"?
I've yelled "HELL YES CHESTER!" upon hearing the chorus of Given Up. So, the answer - Yes. xD
What one thing do you love about this band (aside from all the things mentioned above)?
They are the only band who have three albums of songs that I can listen to WITHOUT disliking any of the songs on said albums. Minutes to Midnight is a tad sketchy, but Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and Meteora are.... -cries.- T-T
