04-12-2009, 04:55 PM
What is the longest book you've ever read?

Paradox
04-14-2009, 04:56 PM
The Redemption of Althalus, I think... unless you can count a 3-in-1 book, then it's the Crystal Singer series.

silence
04-15-2009, 01:24 AM
How do you read. I mean ha ha how FAST can you read?? do you go through book quickly?

Paradox
04-20-2009, 02:47 PM
I can read pretty fast, but it depends on how into the story I am. Sometimes I'll re-read paragraphs, or I'll ready slowly to make sure I understand or don't miss anything.
Otherwise, I can gloss through a book, picking up the main plot, pretty quickly.

Oh, LV, sorry I missed your question. I'd have to say the Batman ^_^

Brian
04-21-2009, 12:30 AM
have you ever tried martial arts of any kind?

Paradox
04-24-2009, 12:28 PM
If Backyard Kung-Fu counts, then yes.

lol j/k. I practised karate for a few months, until the karate club moved to a different town, a town I couldn't afford to get to. I only got up to red belt.

silence
04-26-2009, 06:20 PM
who's that in your siggy?

Paradox
04-28-2009, 03:13 PM
No-one, really. Just a character from an online game called Trickster Online. They're all anthro-people. There's cat, sheep, fox, and (of course) dragon - people. ^_^

Brian

oh like shoes?? ha ha

do YOU read romance novels?

Paradox
05-22-2009, 12:12 PM
Nope. Slushy nonsense with fairy-tale romantic endings. Makes me jealous, in a way. They're all the same, too.

Brian
05-23-2009, 04:33 PM

Paradox
06-01-2009, 04:32 PM

silence - the other day, when someone pretty much threw me out of a queue because he had more stuff to pay for than me.

Brian
06-06-2009, 12:11 AM

Paradox
07-25-2009, 12:29 PM

Brian
08-04-2009, 12:36 AM
Which would you rather be, a fearsome warrior or a kind and gentle fairy?

Paradox
08-25-2009, 03:27 PM
Ooh, tough one. I like warriors, but fairies are among my favourite mythical creature. Is there no 'fearsome fairy warrior' option? If not, I'd have to say the fairy ^_^ cuz I'm a softie like that.

Brian
08-27-2009, 12:09 AM
If you got into a taxi and the driver started driving at insane speeds through the city, what would you do?

The Guiltiest Gear
09-12-2009, 05:38 AM

Paradox

Brian - Yew (lol)
GG - Hells yeah! That'd be awesome.

Brian
09-26-2009, 08:23 PM

Brian
10-13-2009, 01:56 PM

Brian
10-16-2009, 02:24 AM
How fast can you type?

Paradox
10-19-2009, 04:34 PM
about 80 words a minute ^_^

Question for you - how come you're the only one who asks me anything? (no offense or rudeness intended. Just curious, 'cuz no-one else posts in here)

Brian
10-20-2009, 12:41 AM
just trying to keep the area active, if someone doesn't have a question pending I try to think of one to ask them.

Can you count in binary on your fingers?

Takai
10-20-2009, 03:49 AM
did you actually time your typing or was that a guess?

Paradox
10-20-2009, 02:55 PM
Brian - I can't, no...

Takai - Yay! Another questioner! I took a test at school.

frank
10-20-2009, 06:53 PM
What kind of test? Typing? lol just messing, dude. ^_^

Paradox
10-22-2009, 03:33 PM
It was a typing test, yes. I had to type a list of words and sentences, then it calculated my typing speed.

frank
10-23-2009, 04:36 PM
Are you in school?

Do you work?

What do you do?

Do you like living in England?

Have you traveled?

Paradox
11-09-2009, 02:44 PM
Uh... no. I've never even heard of those places.

Brian
11-28-2009, 03:34 AM
Have you ever climbed up something that you aren't supposed to, like a parking garage or a cellular tower?

Paradox
11-28-2009, 10:27 AM
I used to love climbing on top of garages, or sheds, or school buildings. I haven't done it recently, though.

Brian
12-06-2009, 05:31 PM

Keter
12-12-2009, 07:34 PM
I can barely stand 2 minutes, lol

Do you believe in ghosts? And what about aliens?

Paradox
12-14-2009, 03:40 PM
Aliens, for sure. I mean, there's got to be some sort of intelligent life in this universe. I'm not too sure about ghosts. I'd like to believe in them, but I just can't.

Brian
12-27-2009, 02:55 AM
Do you like food cooked on an open grill?

Paradox
12-30-2009, 03:57 PM
I've never had food cooked like that before, so I don't know. Sounds good, though.

Brian
02-06-2010, 12:54 PM
If you won an all-expenses paid one-week vacation trip to Baghdad, would you go?

Paradox
03-02-2010, 02:49 PM

Brian
03-13-2010, 12:45 AM

it looks like a himihiminukunukuapua'a to me D: but im not sure...

Fuu
03-21-2010, 08:06 PM

Who is your favorite character from Ouran?

Paradox
03-25-2010, 03:44 PM
I don't have a preference, because I don't think they work as seperate characters.

My fave Ouran character is either Umehito Nekozawa or Ritsu Kasanoda. Probably Kasanoda. ^_^ He's so awesome.

Fuu
03-26-2010, 01:34 AM
Aww Nekozawa is so funny.. and Kasanoda... he is notmy favorite but i seriously love him.

Do you think that Kasanoda will do a good couple with Haruhi?
Who do you think SHOULD end up with Haruhi? (Not considering that Tamaki is his predictable destined partner)
If you were in the host club...who would you choose to be your host?

Have you seen Yu Yu Hakusho?

Paradox
03-29-2010, 12:57 PM

I think Kasanoda is great for Haruhi, but the person I think should be with her is Morinozuka Takashi. Mori-senpai is too cool and hot for his own good ^///^

No, I haven't seen Yu yu Hakusho. I want to, though.

Nyuu
03-31-2010, 09:11 PM
What is your favorite sound?

Paradox

Takai
04-06-2010, 07:01 PM
YAY fellow Nekozawa fan!

Fuu
04-08-2010, 03:55 AM
Oh! i always thought that haruhi had to end with Kasanoda too! XD hahahaha nd mori~~ mh~that will be refreshing xD

If you were nekozawa who will you put an spell on?

Paradox
04-08-2010, 02:56 PM
Takai: He looks gorgeous with blond hair, but all cool and mysterious with his black wig. I just can't choose! *swoon*

Fuu: Probably Mori, to make him like me ^_^;;

Brian
05-01-2010, 02:37 AM
Have you ever seen a record album, the kind you have to put on a phonograph player to hear?

Paradox
05-03-2010, 12:44 AM
I... think I have. Those old, uh... vinyls, are they called?

Keated
05-03-2010, 10:27 PM
Do you know the bootstrap timetravel paradox?

Paradox
05-04-2010, 04:06 PM
The thing about if you go back in time, it doesn't matter what you do, you will always end up doing what you did before. The past in unchangeable, and if you go back to try and change it, you'll still end up doing it, in one way or another, thereby maintaining, and not upsetting, the flow of time.

... I think.

Keated
05-04-2010, 09:01 PM
Yup, something like that, along the lines of 'Here past me, have this instruction manual on building a time machine... well, I'm off to conceive your grandfather - toodles.' would be a double example, haha. Basically, a closed loop in time, in that in order for you to be able to go and do what your past self experienced, such as building the time machine, you must have already visited, lol.

So, why the name Paradox btw? :)

Paradox
05-05-2010, 06:50 PM
Why Paradox? Because my friends say I'm one. They got tired of call me a walking contradiction, so they called me a paradox instead.

Keated
05-05-2010, 09:37 PM
Lol, the easiest way to get around being called a walking-anything is to invest in a jetpack XD

Hmm, did you know that the Twin Paradox isn't actually a paradox? :)

Paradox
05-10-2010, 04:11 PM
It's just something about relative motion, isn't it? One went fast then stopped (accelerated then decelerated) at high speeds (near light, or at light, speed if I recall), thus resulting in the other twin ageing normally while the first kind of skipped past that time.

I can't quite explain it, but no it's not a paradox.

(please don't ask me any more paradox questions. I'm not a paradox enthusiast, it's just a nickname. Why not ask a normal question, like how did I become known as a walking contradiction?)

Can I ask a question? Where can I buy a jetpack?

Brian
05-11-2010, 12:35 AM
Yes you can ask a question, but you'll have to go to someone else's thread to do it. Them's the Roolz.

Do you like Maxfield Parrish paintings? If so, which is your favorite?

Paradox
05-12-2010, 08:13 PM
I, uh... don't know who Maxfield Parrish is. Sorry.

Fuu
05-12-2010, 09:13 PM
If you could have any one real Pokemon, which one would you take?

Paradox
05-13-2010, 04:26 PM
Eevee for sure. And if item existed, I'd give it an Everstone so it'd never evolve and stay cute forEVA! ^///^

Brian
05-14-2010, 03:25 AM
Have you ever met someone for the first time and had an inexplicable urge to punch them in the nose, without really knowing why?

Keated
05-14-2010, 11:40 PM
Lol, alas I think they're rather expensive at the moment, though have you seen the film Kick Ass? XD

Heh, and yeah that's basically it for the twin paradox - if the other twin was always moving at the same speed it wouldn't work, since a constant velocity is the same as zero velocity as far as the universe is concerned. Accelerating, however, breaks the symmetry :)

Ah well, but yes I am curious about why you're known as a walking mass of contradictions :)

Paradox
05-17-2010, 03:04 PM
Brian: Yes, most of the people I have the misfortune to meet. I seem to attract weirdoes and *insert sweary-insult word here* type of people.

Keated: Because of how I love and hate near enough everything in equal measure. For example, I'll buy a packet of crisps (chips for americans) or a pasty. I'll either say I don't like the look of it, and it looks disgusting but eat it anyway, or I'll say it looks nice, try it and not like it, but eat it anyway.
Basically, no matter what I seem to feel about something, I feel the opposite emotion in equal proportion.

... or maybe it was when my friend owed me five pounds, and I ended up owing him five pounds, thus him owing ten pounds (somehow. stay with me), and in the end we agreed to not pay each other because we lost track of who owed what, and in the end I got a fiver.

Keated
05-17-2010, 11:11 PM
Hmm, so not simply ambivalence but rather both extremes concurrently?

In which case, what's your opinion on Marmite? haha XD

Also, how exactly did you end up with him owing you more? Did you pay him with a tenner or something? :-S

Paradox
05-20-2010, 03:08 PM
I... have no idea. We spent about three hours fathoming everything out, and in the end I got a fiver.

Brian
05-26-2010, 01:03 AM
If someone offered you fifty pounds to shave your hair and have an advertisment painted on the back of your head for a week, would you do it?

Paradox
05-27-2010, 02:51 PM
Never ever ever ever ever ever!

Nothing would make me shave my head.
