What are your favorite and most hated anime couple and why.

At the top of my least favorite would be Kouta and Yuka from Elfen Lied because it is just so wrong in so many ways -.-

My favorite though would be Lucy and Kouta, even though the two had a sordid past there was obviously a lot of love and compassion towards one another. A close second would be Nagisa and Shizuma from Strawberry Panic.

Let's see...

My absolute -least- favorite would probably be Haji x Saya from Blood+. Main reason to this is my undying hatred towards Saya, her selfishness, and her overall attitude towards Haji. I'm gonna let her stupidity constant indecisiveness slide because it has little to do with the couple. Haji is like, i dunno.. the kindest, sweetest, and most loving guy/man i ever saw in anime or otherwise. I swear i never saw anyone love another person as much as Haji loves Saya. Saya just doesn't deserve that love. I mean she was pretty much ignoring his existence for the most of the series and only relied on him during the battles. In the episode when he was nearly delivering a love confession in the middle of the street ("During the time that you slept, I walked these streets alone. I could not see you, I could not hear you.. But, mysteriously, I could always feel you" -- i CRIED), she was just there like he was addressing someone else. She could, i dunno, thank him for waiting for her for -thirty years-, or call his name at least! Does she not realize how painful it must have been for him to wander alone for thirty years?! He can't even fall asleep! Okay, i think i better stop here, before i get carried away and touch upon the two spoilers i don't want to touch upon. Saya doesn't deserve Haji's love, period.

Let's move on to favorites instead.

Larva and Miyu from Kyuuketsuki Miyu / Vampire Princess Miyu.

I absolutely love them both. Actually in personality, Larva reminded me of Haji a lot. But in this case, Miyu is just as loving and she really appreciates him. There is just that mutual feeling of affection and understanding; they simply complete each other.

Another one of my favorite couples is Amon and Robin from Witch Hunter Robin. Frankly, the main reason (aside from it being overly slow-paced for a supposedly action anime..) i gave this anime a 7 and not something higher is because of those two. Because the director/creator/whoever apparently decided it'd be fun to throw in a potential romantic subplot without any -romance- actually happening. It's like, "here is a potential couple; they're both awesome characters, they work together, they're similar in attitude; there is even some fanservice in the opening animation for you; you totally want them to get together despite the age gap, but guess what -- there shall be no romance in this serious witch-hunting anime!" I wanted them to get together so badly; this is the only thing i was waiting for.

Just look at their first encounter (no spoilers):

It's like they're -meant- for each other, except not.

I have a lot of other couples to mention, but i'll leave that for next time >.>

^That reminds me I still have to watch the Vampire Princess Miyu VHS I have o.o and I'm gonna have to add Witch Hunter Robin to my must see list ^^

Must add Takayuki and Mitsuki from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien to my "Must Slap" list. Specially Mitsuki  Her face makes me angry :swe2: I have yet to finish the series but according to Takai what's to come will only fuel my rage for them both >.<

might i reccomend the ovas as well, they are what originally got me into the series and darker lol

best

Nodoka and Negi from Magister Negi Magi Negima

Here we have a quiet and shy girl who's one and only passion is books and has fallen for her child teacher(she's only about 4yrs older) after he opted to use himself as a human pillow when she fell over the edge of a stairwell.Originally she grows her hair to the point her eyes can rarely be seen, but changes it it so one eye becomes visible. In the manga she's gone on dates with Negi about 2 times,is the only one to kiss Negi in a romantic way,and has confessed her love.Negi's response is that he's not sure what love is yet and he wishes to have time to find out what it is before he gives her his answer and she is currently waiting patiently, tagging along on his adventure to the magic world after developing her mind reading powers to aid him in his quest to find his father the Thousand Master.

Shannon Cassul and Zefiris from Scrapped Princess

Throughout the anime she was portrayed as a relatively cold and emotionless dragon that cared for nothing but Pacifica's survival. As the series goes on we learn [spoiler:3i7147ej]Shannon is identical to the master she lost 4,000yrs ago and we see she does in fact have emotions but sealed them away in the time she spent hiding in a dimensional rift[/spoiler:3i7147ej]

After thwarting her sister's plan to brainwash him to protect Pacifica uncondtionally,he loses all trust in her and starts referring to her as a monster and ignoring her opinions.

In my personal favorite scene of the anime he tells Zefiris he trusts her despite bieng of the evil race because while she took much from him,she never took away his ability to doubt and kisses him on the forehead before switching to her dragon form.In the next episode he begins calling her Zefie like the master she lost and we see her blush momentarily before following his order.

worst

Louise and Saitou from Louise the Zero/Familiar of Zero/whatever it translated into

Louise is one of those high class nobles with a great deal of pride and can be prone to anger with the simplest of insults,so she has a bit of tsundereness about her.Saitou...well he claims to be in love with her gets pretty angry at times due to the way she treats him,but can you blame her when he eyes every other female around, and flirts with them.It gets to the point you'd think she'd leave him already.

Amu and Tadase
In general i dont generally like characters like Tadase whose personality i can only describe as "jell-o" if that makes any sense. He's just so boring the only remotely interesting thing about him is that maniacal split personality he rarey switches to.As to why I hate this couple. Amu confesses and is rejected....later Tadase confesses, but loves one of Amu's alter-egos and not herself per say. You'd think at this point she'd give up on this guy and go after Kairi or Ikuto but you'd be wrong. She continues going out of her way trying to win his heart.

just two of each for now ^^

I don't know about worst but for some reason my favourite is Oh My Goddess belldandy and Keiichi Morisato. When Keiichi accidentally phones the Goddess helpline and wishes for Belldandy to be his girlfriend, but then they grow to really like each other and Keiichi always is first to sacrifice himself when she is in trouble. I think it's a girl thing, them two together is so romantic, and they are such a team, too, hmm...
