You mean this:
Gurren Lagann, known in Japan as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (??????????, Tengen Toppa Guren Ragan?, literally "Heaven Shattering Crimson Face") is a Japanese sh?nen mecha anime television series animated by Gainax and co-produced by Aniplex and Konami. It ran for twenty-seven episodes on Japan's TV Tokyo between April 1, 2007 and September 30, 2007. It is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, written by veteran playwright Kazuki Nakashima and has been in development since the participation of the famed animator in the Abenobashi mecha themed episodes by the same studio.
Licensing for a North American release of Gurren Lagann was announced by ADV Films at AnimeExpo 2007 on June 30, 2007; however, after an unexplained removal from ADV's catalog, Bandai Entertainment announced it held the license at New York Comic Con 2008.[1] It was also announced for a UK release by ADV Films at AmeCon 2007, however at AmeCon 2008 Beez Entertainment announced that they had the UK distribution rights instead. It was also announced by ADV Films Germany for a summer 2008 release. The Sci Fi Channel acquired the broadcasting rights of Gurren Lagann, and began airing the anime on July 28, 2008 as part of Sci Fi's Ani-Monday anime block.[2][3]
A manga adaptation started serialization in MediaWorks' Dengeki Comic Gao! on April 27, 2007, but switched over to ASCII Media Works' manga magazine Dengeki Daioh on April 21, 2008 due to the former being discontinued on February 27, 2008. Bandai Entertainment licensed the manga and will be releasing it in English in North America. A series of light novels have also been created and are published by Shogakukan. A video game based on the series, for the Nintendo DS, was released in October 2007, bundled with a special episode of the anime series.[4] An animated film version premiered in Japanese theaters on September 6, 2008, and a second movie has been announced.[5]

It would help if you posted more than a one-liner, or maybe elaborate on why exactly it's "pretty amazing". Discussion can't start on an empty spot.
And please spell the title correctly, it bothers me.
Okay, it was pretty amazing. Great artwork, especially the still images during the intermission. The ending's animation was pretty unique and interesting as well. Interesting characters, all very unique, lots of character and relationship development. It got especially epic after the time-skip and towards the end. The bits in the 'imaginary' world were probably my favorite out of the entire series.
and my favorite characters (in order) are Viral, Kamina, and Rossiu.

Gainax did a great job on this series, it's a little whacky but a serious kind of whacky. The animation is intense [especially during battles], and the character designs are unique such as their aesthetic choice for Nia's eyes [flower power eyes, like I call 'em lol]. It's has very subtle Philosophical undertones such as how a society kept in the dark [literally] copes with discovering that there's more to be explored beyond their preconceived boundaries of their cramped cave villages. As the series drives towards the middle, it starts to take on a more serious tone suck as [spoiler:asebk0p3]Simon struggling to govern Kamina City and being at odds with Rossiu over certain issues[/spoiler:asebk0p3]. So if you're a fan of Gunbusters or FLCL, I'd recommend it.

And WHOA was it epic. I could go on about its awesome but what I wanted to ask is whether there's something I can watch that's just as good. After I finished bawing I decided to watch some 07 Ghost and it just sucked in comparison (plus it's just not that good), so any ideas?

Well... what did you like about it? If you think it's good, you should write a review and mail it to Takai. She knows everything, she could think of something you would like.

Firstly, there is already a Gurren Lagann thread. It has spelling errors, but that's still no reason to create another one. Especially if you don't really have anything useful to say. Not trying to be rude or anything, but when you say something is WHOA epic or sucks, you might want to support your opinion. Let alone that, comparing a shounen with themes aimed at male audience such as Gurren Lagann with a shoujo such as 07-Ghost is a little.. unprofessional. If you're looking for something similar to TTGL, then the first thing i'd recommend is looking at other anime created by Gainax. Doesn't suit my personal tastes, but that's all i can tell you. Since you didn't mention what you liked about TTGL, i don't know what to recommend you.

As stated by Takai, spelling errors or not. A thread existed. I merged the threads this time.
take note to first search if a thread exists before posting it.
