Alas! It has happened!
After what is probably most certainly been months and months of waiting, the time has finally arrived; ACF's Anime and Manga reviews forum is once again open!
This, of course, could not have been done without the assistance and help of many members of this community :) so to each and all, I thank you.
Also, as you may have noticed, a "Reviews Editor" usergroup has mysteriously popped up from nowhere and Takai has equally mysteriously become the Moderator of the Reviews section. That is because Takai is ACF's new anime/manga Reviews Editor! Congrats to Takai and her painstaking research, viewing, viewing, viewing and relentless viewing of more anime than the world has possession of!
:lol1:
Okay. A little more seriously now. I have tried to keep the reviews section as it has been since ACF was opened in 2003 and I have changed as little as possible however there have been a few changes and I would like to make light of them so everyone is aware and knowledged:
1) There are now two sub-forums within the reviews area; this is to divide the forum so that members can easily find anime reviews and manga reviews separately. Brian suggested this due to the ambiguity that could be caused with the thread titles, especially if the series' names are too long to sit all relevant information into the thread title itself.
2) Only Takai and senior members of staff can start new topics. People who want to post reviews should carefully read the guidelines and; basically; PM your reviews to Takai. She will make sure that you are 100% credited in the review when it is posted.
3) Feel free to discuss the outcomes of the reviews in the reviews threads. It would make me very happy to see you guys discuss your own opinions on what was reviewed; whether you like it, or not, etc. Feel free to do so.
4) All reviews are to be posted by Takai. If something's been reviewed already and you want to submit your own review of that series, you can PM Takai and she will post the new review.
5) Please try not to post series spoilers in the reviews topics. The reviews are there to give people insight into the series and lure them to watch it; not ruin it for them.
6) I may set up a few open topics in the main reviews forum for people to discuss stuff. (Like a topic for people to discuss reviews they might want to collaborate on submitting or even on suggestions of series for Takai to look into for reviewing.
7) All old reviews have been locked. If you posted those reviews or think you can make a better review out of what's there, go ahead. Those old topics will eventually be archived away from that area so if you want to preserve a review or even better it go ahead ^^
That is all. ^^
