If you want to submit a review of an anime or manga series, you have to PM your rough draft to the Reviews Editor (Takai).
Please use one of the following 'formats' when writing your review.

Also, check out this topic (http://www.animechatforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34873) for more info on what, and what not, to put in a review, and this topic (http://www.animechatforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3653) for an example of one. ^^

-Anime Reviews Format-

If the reviewer cannot provide some of the information for the first section (before the Introduction), the Reviews Editor will research the missing parts and include them in the final review.

Alternative Titles (if any):
Format (Type, # of episodes, status):
Year(s):
Genres/Themes:

Introduction (optional):
Here the reviewer may tell how (s)he came across the anime, and/or what exactly grabbed their attention.

Plot and Setting/Story: _/10
Here the reviewer provides a basic plot outline, the starting point of the story, and where it takes place. (S)he can also discuss some strengths or weaknesses about the plot, without going into major spoilers. For example, "I hate that they killed ___" is not a plot weakness, and of course, those kinds of plot details are not welcome in a review. They can mention, for instance, that there were some questions left unanswered, or that everything was too predictable, or that the ending was very confusing, or that on the contrary every piece of story fell together perfectly for a great conclusion.

Characters/Character Development: _/10
Here the reviewer talks about the characters of the story; whether they were unique and interesting, or dull and obvious. (S)he can mention a few things about the characters, without going into major spoiler details. Similar to the previous section, the reviewer can discuss strengths or weaknesses of character development. For example, they can mention that they never understood the main character's train of thought, or that it wasn't clear why the characters did what they did, or that they couldn't relate to the characters and sympathize with them at all.

Art/Animation: _/10
Here the reviewer discusses the art style, quality of animation, or anything else about the visuals they might have liked or disliked. Some anime may have beautiful artwork, but lacking in animation area. Some anime have stunning visuals for openings and endings, but the visuals in the actual episodes may not necessarily keep up with it.

Sample Screenshots:
If the reviewer has screenshots that (s)he would like to provide, they can also send those to the editor. If not, the editor will provide and post the screenshots. The reviewer can provide as many screenshots as they wish.

Music/Sound: _/10

Additional Comments or Warnings (optional):
Here the reviewer can provide any additional information that the person reading the review may find helpful. For example, if the anime has a huge amount of graphic violence, or nudity, or anything else that people may feel uncomfortable about, that should be mentioned.
