It just has to be asked, the question I'm sure you all missed during my absence:
Are you gonna tell us more about yourself, or do we have to guess? ;)

There are already 2 places (threads) where anyone can find out more about me than they should probably know. Or more than I should tell them.
Check those out and if you still want more, I'll do what I can to satisfy your hungah. LOL
Tx for the question, Keat. Maybe I'll keep the OPEN sign up for a while. ^^

Who is your favorite anime character and why?
frank

Sailor Moon ^^
Probably because if it hadn't been for her, anime would have passed me by, and an important part of my life wouldn't be there today.

several equal
"Fences make good neighbors." Robert Frost
It has that ironic twist that appeals to me, making both sides of an issue have relevance and value. Like neighbors are maintained as neighbors with the help of a fence.
"The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves...." Omar Khayyam
Is a realistic observation that life is governed by powers external to us and over which we have no control.

frank

Yes:
Stage Presentation of The Rabaiyyat (A long time ago)
Miscellaneous poems and short stories in my college mag. (also a long time ago)
Miscellaneous letters to the editor,Picture Framing Magazine. (Seems like a long time ago. ^^)
How To Cut Mats With A Hand-Held Cutter. Englewood, CO +/- 1995
Picture Framing Dictionary. I was a contributor with only 9 other professional framers. 1995. more or less.
Misc. techniques and formulas used in oil painting restoration. Published in a restoration catalog, Sparks, NV about 1995/6
A collection of poems and sories that appear on www.Prose-N-Poetry.com (http://www.Prose-N-Poetry.com),
2006/7/8.
Miscellaneous reports used by The Learning Resources Center, Southern Illinois University, on animation, techniques, production of film clips for grade school children, and the legalities, etc. (definitely a long time ago.)
I have some things in copyright that I've just never gotten around to submitting for publication. The stuff above is what I mostly remember. The re might be more.
I've been invited to publish some writings, but for whatever reasons that don't make sense now, I rejected those offers.
^^
Oh, yes, one more that was useful, Color Theory for Matting and Framing. Englewood, CO +/-1995

You say Sailor Moon is one of your favorite anime, what are some of your other favorites?
What are some anime that you didn't enjoy?
frank
03-02-2008, 08:37 PM
Didn't enjoy so much:
Yu-Gi-Oh
(talked too much)
Trigun
(just couldn't get into it)
Bleach
(too repetitious--like how many times do I have to hear about "spirit pressure" ?)
The current Pokemon D&B is okay, but I miss the older eps with Misty.
To be really honest, however, I enjoy them all. I love animation, animation art, and the dynamic appeal of anime.
Always enjoy:
Inuyasha
Cowboy BeBop
.hack/sign
Shin-Chan
FLCL  lol
Blood
Samurai Champloo
DBZ (the earlier ones, before they started just running their mouths)
Eureka 7
Ghost In The Shell, SAC
Evangelion
Princess Mononoke :)
Storm Hawks
and more....
some borderline that aren't really considered anime because they didn't originate in Japan:
Teen Titans
Totally Spies
Code Lyoko
Kim Possible
Big O
Samurai Jack
lol
I guess I'm just a big kid at heart, with early exposure to motion pictures, exposure to animation and the Disney cartoons. Early on, anyway.
Montreal

Can you describe an absolutely perfect meal? With an appetizer, main course, and dessert.
frank
03-03-2008, 02:35 AM
I doubt if you're wrong. You very seldom are when it comes to stuff like this. Okay, I am switching my list around to conform. Storm Hawks into U.S. made wannabee anime and Big O back where it belongs. LOL
Perfect meal:
Appetizer (s):
Light Chardonnay
Shrimp Cocktail
Iced w/ cocktail sauce dip.
Wafer thin garlic crackers.
Soup:
French Onion or
Cream of Cheddar
Hot, garlic- buttered French bread.
Main Course:
Chilean Red or Pinot Noir
Chateau Briand (medium -well)
Sauteed Mushrooms (garlic, oil & butter sautee)
Cold Asparagus
Cold Beets w/ Mayonnaise Dressing
Scalloped Potatos w/extra sharp cheddar and Parmesan chesses, grated
Black Olives and Stuffed olives
Croissants w/ lemon butter or olive oil w/ ground pepper
Salad:
Tossed salad ala frank (which means you put damn near anythng you can get into it.):
Iceberg Lettuce
Romaigne Lettuce
Sliced Mushrooms
Diced tomatoes
Bell Peppers--green and red
Hard-boiled eggs, crumbled and diced
Bacon crumblies--fresh, not out of a stupid jar ^^
Olives--Ripe and Pimento (Sapnish)
(No celery, no onions, no garlic, no carrots, no yukky stuff!)
Bleu Cheese dressing.
Dessert:
(serve all 3 at same time)
Pineapple Upside-down Cake (warm)or Pecan Pie (warm)
French Vanilla Ice Cream
Flan
Napolean Brandy
Black American coffee w/ a hint of cinnamon.
Everything served from and on polished silver, Swedish crystal, English porcelain. (but not Willoware)
Pure white, clean, fresh linen & napkins.
Warm, damp cloths and finger bowls.
Sandalwood incense--very light.
Jazz in the background--barely audible.
Subdued lights--candles, if you want^^
2 or 3 good friends to share it all.
Maybe 4....
^^
(The salad can be served before or with the main course. Or it can be served before the dessert.
American style is to serve it before or with the main course.)

Pick 5 people that you love and write 5 sentences that you would like to say to them?
i'm adding the question mark to make it a question lmao
frank
03-04-2008, 03:30 PM
I'm thinking you mean one sentence to say to each? Otherwise it would be 25 sentences. then I could just write the same poem for each one. :?
People I love.
1. Faye
2. The Major (Motoko)
3. Alex
4. Raven
5. Sam, too, I suppose
Sentences:
(not necessarily in numerical order)
"Would you like to be the mother of my children?"
"My unborn children want you to be their mother."
"Will you do my unborn children the honor of being their mother?"
"I didn't do anything."
"My children will be lonely unless you will be their mother."
:lol1:
I left the 2nd, 4th & 5th for you to add the ?
(I would've put Sailor Moon, but I thought that was going just a little bit too low on the age scale.)

i love how you think sailor moon is too low, yet i believe raven is younger...haha
why do you love these people?
frank
03-04-2008, 10:28 PM
I love them because in this world of fantasy , in which I am more comfortable, those characters "triggered" an emotional appeal, probably based on visual interpretation, that keeps them among my top or favorite characters.
Sailor Moon, however, because she was my first "love" has to be in a different category.
Raven is younger, eh? I may have to re-think my attitudes, here.

If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
frank
03-05-2008, 05:16 AM
If that person was truly a friend, I'd understand that some of the things said weren't meant to deliberately annoy or irritate me. Either irl, or out here in cyber space, doesn't matter. Friends are friends. Ya keep 'em unless ya just have to let them go; or unless they don't want to be kept anymore, which amounts to the same thing.

Wow, now I'm going to feel shallow asking my mundane questions.
Hmm...
What's your favorite Disney movie? And why? Why do you love Disney so much?
*fails at her attempt to be intelligent*
frank
03-09-2008, 04:56 AM
My most favorite Disney movie of all time? Fantasia.
Is just too awesome for when it was made, and even today is still awesome!!
I'm not totally sure why. Most of my early movie experiences had Disney cartoons before. And animation was just so awesome a thing to do. I mean they were, and still are, completely outrageous and don't even try to spin off of reality.
It's like an "in your face" medium. It says, "Take it or leave it."
Disney began the animation movement, took it to a couple of different levels, then anime stepped in with a conceptually different artform.
Disney stayed pretty much rooted in his successful experiences, and even the Japanese producers and animators are doing the same: staying with the same basic concepts and ideas that have made anime universally popular and accepted.
Disney animation is for pure entertainment. Japanese animation, mostly, is rooted in mythology and concepts of good vs. evil.
But, I don't like the older Tom & Jerry-type cartoons. I did, but I think I "grew out" of them. Newer stuff is okay. But newer stuff tries to mirror anime, to some extent.
phew!! sorry for the lecture.
Don't you DARE ever feel shallow, or demean your intelligence like that! Ever!! Please??
It would be so wrong if people didn't ask what they wanted, of anyone, and not expect a courteous reply.
Besides, you're wrong on both counts: your questions aren't mundane and you're very intelligent. ^^

frank
04-06-2008, 10:44 PM
I always did have a hard time with characters names and to what anime they belonged. I have to keep looking them up all the time.
Rukia is sultry and mysterious. If she's the one I'm thinking of.
On Blood vs Blood + : whichever one has the female character with the chevalier guarding. I thought her name was Rukia.
Now you're making me look it up. LOL

frank
04-07-2008, 12:15 AM
Many.
Cats and dogs, mostly
Raised long-tailed guppies for a little while. If fish count as pets.
Had mongrels and purebreds, both.
And registered and not.
My favorite was a beautiful female cat I found one winter night, rooting around in the mickey d wrappers, hungry, scooped her up, took her home, washed her about 3 times, turned out to be pure snow white, delicate bones like a Siamese, had been declawed by somebody, I loved that little cat like no other, had 3 itters in the corner of my closet, in a box, etc., would catch birds and throw them against the bedroom door to show us what she'd caught and wasn't she a good liitle huntress. Called her Christmas--cause that's when I found her, half wild and staving and so dirty and shedding hair. But she loved me like you wouldn't believe and I loved her back. ^^

The creepy looking one is cool, but creepy.
The other one is a little too bishie for my taste.

This one. Ryuk. I thought was on Lady Vamp's LIS Badge, was wrong, it's on Jericho's LIS Badge.
this is the one that looked creepy, to me, that I thought was a chevalier, but forgor which character it was always hanging over. I'm not even sure, now, thatt I have the right anime. @_@

There are two more but they're boring xD I don't even have a single screenshot of them to show you.
So, now that you know who is who (lol), what is your opinion on each one?
Now then, Haji is the one I thought had a bishie appearance. Seeing this image, I could have been thinking of someone else.
Riku I only vaguely remember and didn't remember that he was a chevalier.
Solomon is defintely bishie type (to me) and is over-bearing and pompous.
Karl is defintely a strong type, but I had for gotten he was chevalier and for who.
And Nathan is much too pretty to be a chevalier.
And now I'm totally confused with all of them and have images running around in my head that won't connect.
Like I've been saying, you need some other members that are way more anime oriented than I am, or at least that can remember names and faces, etc. I can't. But I appreciate your patience and teachings. Really. ^^

04-09-2008, 08:00 PM
^^;;;; uh.. Ryuk is from Death Note, and there are no such things as Queens or Chevaliers or vampires in there ^^;;;
Riku became Saya's Chevalier later on in the series. Haji was Saya's Chevalier from the beginning. The rest of them are Diva's Chevaliers. Well okay, let's drop the subject ^^; I feel like I'm getting you more confused ^^;
frank
04-09-2008, 08:27 PM
No, you're just trying to be helpful. i know that.
In Deathnote, yes there are no vampires. But now I've got about 15 or 20 different character images floating around in my head, none of them wanting to become attached to anything.
Even anime that I like and have watched for years, I don't have all the charcters' names and relationships memorized or coherent. that's why I might know the series, know the characters visually, but the names elude or I didn't have them to begin with.
I'm sorry Takai, I really would like to talk more specifically about anime, but that's what GG and Dyne, and Mac, and Montreal, etc. can take care of that I can't. I just wish we had more members that wanted to play here. *sigh*

If you were stranded on a deserted Island with only, a Paper clip, a rubber band, and a straw, what would you do?
I'd paper clip all my important papers together, I'd drink my malted milkshake (vanilla) with my straw, and I'd use the rubber band to shoot pebbles at the advancing horde of cannibals. XD
if you had to listen to one song non-stop for a week straight, which one would you pick?
That one by Marty Robbins about falling in love with a Mexican girl. Or maybe Johnny Cash. Or maybe Harry Belafonte. Or maybe Louis Armstrong, or Johnny Mathis, or Eartha Kitt, or there's just too many to pick one song. I'd pick the artist and let them do the song picking--whcihever one they wanted to play/sing for a week straight.

And when do I get some more points? I've been lost for about a week, Ithink. ^^

Takai: I'd probably die, or be so close to it it wouldn't matter. Happened once--withdrawal symptoms were terrible.
Sarah: Had coffee all my life, honey. ^^ Points? I'll see what I can do. I've been kind of lost myself.

frank knows the arcana are the means by which all is revealed...but can he tell us why kids love cinnamon toast crunch!!?
frank
06-03-2008, 11:06 PM
Kids & regular people, too LOL love cinnamon toast *crunch* because:
1. It's good.
2. It's sweet.
3. It's bad for your teeth.
4. It's crunchy.
5. It's toasted.
6. It's got butter.
7. It's got cinnamon.
8. It goes good with milk.
9. It's easy to make.
10. You can share it with a special friend.
11. You can tease your sister by not letting her have any.
12. You can make your folks angry 'cause you're teasing your sister.
13. You can eat lots of it.
14. It's hard to ruin the taste--it's always good.
15. It smells good.
16. It's something kids can make easy, without asking their parents to watch them do it or do it for them.
17. It makes the neghborhood jealous, smelling it.
18. It's something you can fix using lots of stuff.
19. It's impossible to ruin, unless you burn the toast. Then you're a real retard.
20. It's something you can make without a toaster, and still call it toast.
21. You can invite your gf to share.
22. You can invite your bf to share.
23. It's good snacks.
24. It's okay to get your fingers greasy, then lick the cinnamon.
25. It's something you can share with your cousin.
26. It's something you can have for breakfast.
27. It's something everybody wants.
28. It's good for a dessert.
29. It's something you've gotta eat right away.
30.It's something someone is going to ask you why do kids like it.
LOL
that's all my Arcana came up with for right now..

why dont you play the persona games?,they have alot to do with the arcana :papasmurf:
It's something I hadn't thought of, really. But I'm not a gamer, at all. And I'm not sure if my orientation would allow me to enjoy something like that. ^^
would you watch anime just for the fact a dragon or two is present?
Yes, of course. I do and have. ^^

06-06-2008, 05:56 PM
if we at some point our lives had an ACF party, where as many members as possible gathered and met, would you attend?
frank
06-07-2008, 12:56 AM
Takai: DBZ & Xialoin Showdown. (I'm not sure if that last one is true anime)
Inuyasha also has dragons popping up now and then.
Sailor Moon had a kind of dragon-like creature, but not quite--The Lake Monster.
Samurai Jack is always playing around with dragons of one kind or another, but I don't think that one's true anime, either.
If I remember right, aren't a couple of the critters in Yu-Gi-Oh dragons?
Even Pokemon has something like a dragon. Ya can't escape 'em, they're all over the place. lol
Montreal: Sure. ^^ Matter of fact I've already met 4 ACFers, IRL We all survived. LOL Actually, that was one of the most awesome experiences in my life.

omg, you actually remember from that far back? Honestly, I was the one who kind of forgot about it. As soon as I can get up to Jacksonville, or if they have any recording studios in this little town, I'll be your next seiyuu. Promise. But I don't know when.
"You really remember?" Memory like mine--doesn't forget a thing--except voice recordings.

frank
06-08-2008, 11:42 PM
Shoden was named by Lyra.
When he flew into one of my adventures, I was having a hard time with a name for him. Lyra suggested many different ones.
I picked Shoden and that's how it all happened and why Lyra is listed as Honored Dragon Namer on my family/faves list.

Takai

frank

frank

Stranger In A Strange Land--Heinlein, I think.
Dune--Herbert. Not really easy but awesome.
Martian Chronicles--Bradbury
Any of the Anne McAfferey (sp) books--dragons.
Takai

frank
08-03-2008, 10:36 PM
Dune: If you become familiar with the words in the glossary, it's much easier to read.
PnP: About a year and a half
http://www.prose-n-poetry.com/display_work/2494
Gold Writers are Silver Writers who have received at least 100 praise from their peers and are approved by the directors. Gold Members' opinions are sought regarding decisions affecting PnP (i.e., they have more direct input). They pay $10 dues for 3 months membership. Approval for Gold membership is based on excellence of the author's work and by a sense that the author is community minded... i.e. values this site and the friends s/he makes here.
Why should I join?
... the Silver dues are only $10 for a six month membership, or you may choose to remain as a Reader. You will get a newsletter e-mailed to you which lets you know of Contest Winners, changes at the site and much more. Many settings will be automatically done for you. Music will start with whatever you choose. If you choose to be a Writer, you can enter Poems, Stories, Books, Columns, Moon Notes, Comments and utilize many other features. All works will be available to you, appropriate to your age.
Do children have to pay?
Dues for children under 18 are $5 for a 6-month membership. Children, themselves, voted in this very small fee. The fee is the same, regardless of whether the child is a Gold or Silver Member.
Is this a 'safe' site?
We have monitors who check to be sure content is appropriate. They edit if necessary. (i.e. They delete full names and/or addressing if minors inadvertently include that somewhere.) Authors on the writer's side check each other's content.
Your works here are copyrighted. You own that copyright. (See also our Terms of Service) But with this it is IMPERITIVE that the work be original. So, only original works, which you wrote are acceptable. We have a ZERO tolerance for plagiarism.
ahhhh... Adult works?
Our Server specifically forbids 'Adult Content'. Presumably this refers to explicit pictures and/or writings. We DO have children visiting. However, the policy here is quite lenient. No Sexually explicit pictures and/or articles designed to be erotic. In any case be SURE to mark any which might be suspect with an age of 18 to 18+.
and other stuff. the link gives more information, for anyone interested.
It's really a good, good place. And you don't have to be writer or poet.

What's the worst movie you saw this year?
frank

@Takai: any genre as long as it's filled with blood and guts, sexy female ninjas doing impossible things, beautiful artwork, sexy seiyuus--male and female, maybe we have to make up a genre? really tired of the same old, good guy, bad guy; good witch, evil witch; forces of good against the forces of evil; teeny-boppers saving the universe with magic spells, etc.
@Nyuu: none. I haven't seen any movies this year. except on tv and I don't count them. those are all bad, anymore with all the dubbing subbing and cutting.

If you had the opportunity to live in a large space station in orbit around the earth, would you go live there?
frank
01-10-2009, 08:32 PM
Not if it was going to be a permanent assignment. If it was an assignmnet that would use the SS as a jumping-off point for further exploration of our solar system and our planets, then yes.
I would have liked to have been able to walk on the moon and also to leave my footprints on the sands of Mars. To walk where Bradbury and so many other sci-fi/fantasy writers sent me, before anime was anything more than godzilla running around, would have been a truly epic experience.
I would have liked to have been one of the team members that implemented such things as terraforming projects, ensuring that our race would have a habitable and life-sustaining world besides this one, which is slowly dying of neglect and abuse. And which is killing us, in retribution, for the stupidity of the unconscionable acts of pollution and our becoming more and more exposed to exotic viruses that belonged in the deep jungles, but which were disturbed with the destruction of the planet's rain forests.
Science cannot cure what we have done. Murdered our mother and father, and with their dying, leaving us as homeless urchins with only our sins to laud our efforts.
I would have liked to have been witness, if not a participant, to some experimentation that I think possible, but only in deep space. Levitation for one. Teleportation for another. Mastery over the physics governing gravity; the speed of light; hybrid hydroponic farming which could produce germ-free, vitamin and mineral-rich plants, fruits and vegetables; the solutions to waste disposal that would allow all waste products to be turned into energy producing products; the study of the real dimensionalities of time and space with a concurrent potential for at least controlled time travel; perfection of the medical potentials inherent through the use of nano-bots, untrammeled genetic research which could allow killer diseaes to be finally eradicated; the true perfection of the development of AI components in manufacturing and research as well as in communication--among themselves and with man; the perfection of medical techniques and medicines which would address human ailments directly and not the symptoms.
All of these and so many more. I would have liked to have been a part of that excitement and accomplishment.
If anyone stayed with me throughout this presentation, I thank you for your patience. ^_^

frank
01-16-2009, 08:02 PM
Where did you get a dragon from?
I really don't remember. shoden has been with me for so long, that it seems he's always been with me (us). The (us) is because Sarah, also, has been with me for what seems like a long time, also. One day he was just there. But he didn't have a name. so I tried to give him a good, dragon name. And couldn't. I called out for help, Lyra (the Forgotten Nobody) answered the call, and from a whole bunch of names, we thought Shoden was an uber cool dragon name. That's why he loves her so much and let her give him tummy rubs and all like that. Scandalous, but what are you going to do? I mean he is one, big dragon. Huge, really.
Could I get one?
Sure. It might be easiest if you went to Mac's, "Dragon Reserve." He's got all kind of homeless critters (dragons) that are looking for compatible humans. You can stop in there and take a look around. I know he'd be pleased for anyone that has a real interest in dragons to pay a visit.
This is his address. Just click on the thingie, and it'll take you right to the front door. ^_^

should i use a single character for my next sig/avi or a couple? 8)
Yes, I think so. Single characters seem to define you better. Unless it's a humorous image, then multiple is okay. ^^

i meant a couple as in a romantic couple, not just multiple characters XDDD
what did you have for breakfast?
frank
01-24-2009, 11:09 PM
Oh. Spike & Julia. Faye & Vicious. Roger & Dorothy. (I won't even dare mention anything out of Inuyasha) Haruko & what's his name?
Those ones in Eureka 7 (you know, I really can't remember these names)
I give up. All the others are just faces and scenes but no names. Weird.
breakfast--nothing. it was too late by the time I got to the dining room, and I didn't want just eggs and toast, which she offered to make. Just coffeee was good.

since when are Faye and Vicious together? what did i miss in Cowboy Bebop? XD i think Julia was with both Spike and Vicious >_>
frank

You don't remember that one episode where Faye and Vicious had that really steamy shower scene? Or am I wrong? was that someone else?
and I didn't think Julia and Vicious ever coupled. Maybe. they were all really transient lovers at best. romantic couple as in permanent, I dunno, I just dunno. LOL
I like roger and dorothy the best. impossible love to begin with, man and machine, but sentient emotional machine, the sadness of it all, the unsoken words, but the looks and touches and so on. too much!

01-25-2009, 01:18 AM
O_O i think you are really confusing with something else. there was nothing between Vicious and Faye O_O i don't even remember any shower scenes at all in Cowboy Bebop lol
Julia and Spike were lovers. Julia and Vicious were lovers too. That's the main reason i despise Julia so much... though Vicious and Spike are also partially at fault... *sigh* everything came to a sad conclusion.[spoiler:1mjitc8j]and i just really didn't think Julia was worth it for Spike or for Vicious to die... : ([/spoiler:1mjitc8j]
but what can you do.. love triangles lead to sad circumstances sometimes.
what's the closest store near you?
frank
01-25-2009, 03:03 PM
There was a very steamy shower scene with Faye and Vicious and, apparently from the convo, vicious is bi-sexual. Anyway....
closest store? Like any kind of store? A raunchy little East Indian owned and operated convenience store. Further than that would be a stationary store. Like a typical multi-offering office supply place. ^^

Nooow i think i know which scene you're talking about, and it wasn't Vicious. it was Gren (http://www.absoluteanime.com/cowboy_bebop/gren.jpg), who is associated with him i believe (i watched it about 6 years ago, so bare with me lol). I'm not sure about him being bisexual, but he had both male and female features.. side effect of some drug they forced him to use in the prison (he got arrested for being a spy, i think... i think Vicious testified against him or something), from what i remember. There indeed was a scene when he got out of the shower and caught Faye trying to use the phone to tell on him though. I remember when Faye saw his body and asked if he was a woman, he said something like "I am both, and I am neither"... :( (wow i remembered surprisingly a lot all of a sudden LOL)
can you tell that Gren was my favorite character? xD
haha should've guessed that the closest store would be a convenience store, kinda makes sense XD
when is the next full moon?

how did you "meet" shoden?..or did he find/meet you first?
frank
07-04-2009, 06:55 PM
I don't really remember.
Dragons are very selective creatures, though, and they are the ones that do the "finding"
More, they are the ones that decide whether or not to befriend a human. An exception might be when a human takes repsonsiblity for a dragon egg and is then responsbile to make sure the dragon grows up big and strong and well-cared for.
Like Shroden is becoming. ^^
momo1415
07-04-2009, 09:22 PM
oh i see! so he is completely independent then right?
frank
07-04-2009, 11:14 PM
Who, Shoden or Shroden, or both?
Shoden was, but is now bonded to me as I am bonded to him. We are neither independant of the other. But I am less independant than Shoden. If something happened to me, for example, Shoden would probably continue without much hesitation.
but, if something happened to Shoden, it would take a long time for me to recover.
Shroden, however is completely dependant on me. For his care, feeding, etc. Without me to care for him, he wouldn't die, but he would slowly become inactive to the point of being like in a coma.
frank/Shaden, now is a totally different creature. Completely independant of everything and everyone. Matter of fact, I think he doesn't really even care for people at all.
Not even Sarah. But she isn't a people. She's different....
momo1415
07-05-2009, 12:04 AM
oh i see...so you and Shoden are like blood brothers yes? or more like dragon brothers...lol
frank
07-05-2009, 02:25 AM
Let me see if I can explain this properly....
Shoden and I are racial brothers. And yes, dragon brothers.
Shoden is also teh Rain Pixie's Dragon Brother! An honor that he prizes highly.
frank/Shaden and frank, however, aren't racial brothers. They are each other.
Shaden and Rain Pixie aren't brother and sister, except by extension, but they are always racial brothers.
Rain Pixie and I are racial dragon brother and sister. We are also Brother an Sister. An honor that I prize highly. She is also one of my Angels.
Dyne and I are racial brothers. but the matter of dragon brothership has never come up.
We are also dragon brothers when in dragon form.
"Brother " is a relative term and might be literal or figurative, depending on the dragons involved and their relationships.
*phew*

Let me see if I can think of a good question for ya...hmmm
What would you prefer, an action packed adventure thats a once in a life time chance filled with drama, excitement, beautiful new places and ancient wonder? Or passing that up to watch a movie you have seen a zillion times with your one and only love? XD I think I am kinda proud of this question :P
frank
07-20-2009, 11:36 PM
I would be too, I think. :p
Okay, let's see. That really isn't that hard.
I would always rather be with my one true love, it didn't matter what the other thing might be.
I mean how much more than once in a lifetime can a true love happen?
And I am rather proud of that answer. =^_^=
Shamanicgirl09
07-21-2009, 03:55 AM
I would be too! ^_^ Its a good answer.
So when did you start loving dragons?
frank
07-21-2009, 05:35 AM
congrats on your successful adoption. Just logging on and seeing your egg. ^^
So, I don't remember, really.
Seems like I have always been partial to that world. The world of magick, and angel faeries, warlocks and wizards, gypsies, and all things in that arcane, esoteric world where few people really dare to travel freely.
Beowulf was a big influence. I felt so sorry for Grendl. And all the works of Anne McCaffrey seemed to have been written of real things. The most notable, probably, The Dragonriders of Pern series.
I don't expect anyone to believe in these things, and I'm very pleased, more like comfortable, when I find genuine, equal beliefs.
Especially here, at ACF, where some of us not only think we're dragons, but know we are.
^_^

When you say that your a dragon, do you mean you can morph into one, that your soul is a dragon from a past life, or both? This really intriques me because I am a big believer in reincarnation.

like 'em all, except that processed crap.
tops though:
extra sharp yellow cheddar
blue cheese or bleu
edam
like anything with some taste and tang, but not spicy hot like with jalapenos
Edam is an exception, it's just smooth. ^_^

I'd have to check Eragon to be certain.
Too many years, too many works, too many names, titles, places and people--sometimes the memory doesn't behave itself.

Have you read any of the Amber books by Roger Zelazny? Anything else by this author? What about Terry Pratchett?
frank
06-09-2010, 12:23 AM
I would have read most of this author's works (Zelazny) during the 60s and early senties. "Guns of Avalon" must have been especially good for me to still remember the title. I was very much into sci-fi/fantasy and read everything I could by anyone. ^^
Sir Terry Pratchett I'll have to look up to see if I remember any titles.
edit
The Dark Side of the Sun
Colour of Magic
The Carpet people
seem especially familiar.
But, honestly, I'd have to review any of these author's works for details. It was just too long ago. ^^
