What's the stupidest way you've ever injured yourself?

I was out one night, DRINKING, with friends and I consumed rather copious amounts of the good elixir. We had driven up to the cantina (BAR) in one of the guy's little convertible and he left the top down. As we left our drinking haven and headed towards his car, because of my most inebriated condition, like smashed, plastered, etc., for some reason I thought I could flly.

So I flew into the car from the back, my wings failed, and I smashed my drunken head into a very sober dashboard. The dashboard won. My eye and lip felt no pain because of the anasthetic, but the guys had to take me to the hospital for appropriate stitch treament. They (the hospital)wanted to keep me overnight for some detox, you know, but I wouldn't hear of it.

I hadn't finished my rounds, that night, of stopping at each of my favorite watering holes and paying my respects to some young ladies who were more than glad to ease my pain. How they did that is defintely PG-13 material if not R and M, and regardless, not appropriate for this site. I think.

So, anyway, that's the dumbest way I ever hurt myself. But it was actually the car's fault. You do understand that I was in complete and total control of myself, regardless of how much Scotch and/or Rum or Tequila (probably all 3), I'd had, chasing it down with some Black Beer as only found in Panama?

I still have the scars, by the way, and, although very faint after all these years, are still there to remind me that I am NOT Superman. Unless I'm with Sarah, then Superman pales by comparison to what I can accomplish.

You did ask and somehow the event seemed worthy of a full recounting of that experience.

Of course, there was that other time when two young ladies and I thought it would be fun to leave the roller rink and skate on the street. That resulted in a broken leg, which was pretty stupid, too.

But I don't want to make this post any lengthier than it need be. I'll save that one for next time. Remind me, though. Because it, also, is an original, not to be copy pasted from anywhere and worthy of a full recounting. ^_~
