Past Mistakes

I keep making the same mistakes,
over and over,
looking at the past with regret,
I convince myself to look ahead,
to think on what is to come,
thinking, trying,
I want to believe,
that if I had the chance,
I might not make the same mistakes,
but, in the end,
I think that,
by repeating the same past mistakes,
I will be with you,
validating all the past mistakes,
into a way to see,
that they were not mistakes,
that all that I did,
was to be able to be with you,
So, I'll keep repeating the same mistakes,
over and over,
until I can say,
that they were just,
past mistakes.

Believing that by repeating my past countless times,
I will surely reach out to you every time,
to be able to stay with you,
so my mistakes are redeemed,
I keep walking the same path,
full of regret, full of sadness, full of love,
unfulfilled love that cries,
for every past mistake.

I like it. I can tell that it comes from the heart, and it lets me know a little more about you. I can almost feel the pain that you feel, walking that same road over and over, just to be with that one person.
