i love thier eyes
plus i was in love the minute i saw how the embers coming off Shana's flaming hair was animated.the manga will never be able to pull that off :shock:

I have to agree with Montreal, the artwork in Samurai Champloo is brilliant. (In fact so is the dubbing.)

I can't really think of any other art that catches my eye, a lot of anime these days tends to look the same, however you have to commend Outlaw Star for not using 3D graphics in their fighting scenes. Must have been real hard work for the artists.

(I bet you was waiting for me to mention OLS. :D)

I personally think the art in Revolutionary Girl Utena is just gorgeous! It's especially gorgeous in the movie. ^_^

I think Loveless is one of the few that really bring the style of the manga into anime smoothly. Vampire Knight, as well.

Prepare for the big one... the anime I probably consider the most beautiful EVER, both in art and story. I love LOVE how the eyes are done. Everything is just brilliant. And as much as I -don't- like 3D in anime, even that was amazing.
