I breathe in a forged world,
where even reflection deceits.
Shadow, my faithful companion
veil the truth of malice.

I dwell on planes of treachery,
where even light conceals.
Cloud, my loyal acquaintance
shroud the false legitimacy.

I walk along the river of demise,
where even mist divulge.
Rain, my unwavering friend
cloak the gratuitous benevolence.

I rest on the trees of defiance,
where even leaves pretense.
Thorn, my meticulous shepherd
perforate the detestful aspirant.

I dream a reverie of black,
where even warmth seethes.
Twilight, my eternal love
pilfer this dreadful soul.

What can I say...

The dark depressing atmosphere this poems created for me was much to my liking.

I love how you incorporate such an extensive vocabulary into your writings.

Your words paint a picture for me, which is what I like so much about your work.

Your talent is shown in every line, and poured out my computer screen, drowning me in your brilliance.

I think you should write a book.

(There. I think that pretty much sums it all up!^^ Nice work, Reve!)

I actually think you should write a book, Ms. Angel, considering that The Awakening is very entertaining and captivating ^^

And there we have a walk into the
environment of shattered dreams
and hopes, of all is lost and nothing
won, of an edless cycle of forbidding
and foreboding, of a treacherous
place where we must live with betrayl
as our norm, where even the elements
and the nature of all things conspire to
wound and hurt us, to make us grieve
and suffer, to have nothing hopeful
but to hope for death?

Congratulations on a singularly morbid
and deressing work.

It even obtains a greater degree of
morbidity by not offering a glimmer of hope.

I didn't like it, but it was an excellent piece!

Thank you! ^^

It was. To me. Any work of art is subject to personal interpretation.

Don't apologize for a write well done.

Let's hope the meds do their work.
