Plot Summary: The story follows Elk, a bounty hunter in some strange futuristic world. On this world archaic but advanced technology exists side by side with primitive attitudes, beasts and magic. In other words it's got a bit of everything. It also has an evil conspiracy who are able to produce powerful monsters called chimera, who can also appear as human. Naturally it is not long before Elk has rescued a young female beast-master and gained himself some serious enemies.

A slight warning on this anime: there is a lot of blood and gore. Not as bad as other animes though :P and there is nudity.

25 Minutes, 26 episodes

genre: adventure, fantasy

Opening Theme:
"Arc the Lad ~Main Theme~" by Masahiro Andou
Ending Theme:
#1: "Happy Tomorrow" by NiNa (eps 01-12)
#2: "Rest in Peace" by NiNa (eps 13-26)

sound-The voices fit their characters. It is crisp and without noticeable distortions. I feel they did very good with the voices. The music is good, though I find some of them can be a tad annoying after hearing it so much (but that may be because I hear it from the game a lot since this is a game turned anime)

Animation-Fluid and nice. There's a lot of strong and solid colors in this show. It's not as good as some animes, but not the worse. Some of the monsters are grotesque looking, as they should be, and give it a darker feel along with the dark colors used.

enjoyment-An anime that you'll either love it or hate it. If you aren't interested by the first couple of episodes, don't bother with the rest. Personally I loved it. The character build up is nice, however you can easily get annoyed at Erk's hotheadedness. There is a lot left out from the game. And some things are added. As stated before, an anime that you'll either love or hate. And personally, I loved it.
