[Debate type thing]: are fansubs on youtube a good idea?

recently, alot of anime that you can download from bittorent has been showing up on youtube. to try to stop this, the youtube commitee has made it to where you can only have a ten minute video on there, thus, people have been splitting episodes up into 3 or 2 parts.


do you think this is a good idea? for dial up users who cant use bittorrent, and people who dont have enough money for anime?


personally, i think its beautiful, because i can watch any anime to my hearts desire...

for others, not so much.

and it sorta takes away the ability for members in sub groups to see how many are dling/watching their release...

it's borderline... it mentions bittorrents... but doesn't say where to get them... it seems to be a discussion on ethics, of sorts... but the moment someone asks for/gives a torrent site, its locked :P

i think youtube having anime is a good idea,dont understand why they want to keep anime episodes off youtube,i mean they are unlisenced as opposed to tv shows that have episoodes uploaded on youtube...besides they arent breaking rules

and watching amvs there beats downloading >.>

altho i must say i dont approve of lisenced anime still having thier episodes up,but meh not w/e

Yeah. Anime should stay there. You ain't breaking rules and all that, but the decision still lies with youtube... I guess.

anime on youtube is supergigagreat!! AND it's legal. ^^

anyway.. are there a lot? cause like i wanted to watch detektiv conan.. and it is really hard finding some serious episodes..
i also tried to find some other animes but i didn't really succed..

actually it is illegal, allthough youtube is clamping down on it, they are lame so alot is still there, they only take it down if the owner of the animes copyright complains, and those who say fansibs are legal are also wrong, just because it hasnot been released outside of japan dosent mean its not copyrighted outside japan, but most law inforcemt agencys dont care if its just anime you dl to watch for yourself, if you were downloading spiderman 3 and selling dvd's of it at your local pub, that would be a diffrent story
