View Full Version : People Suck!

Gah! I lost my phone at a hospital today and someone picked it up. Now when I pick up a cell phone that appears to be lost, I do one of two things, depending on where I am: if I'm at a place with a lost and found, I take it there, however, if I'm somewhere with no such thing I call a number like "Dad," "Mom," or "Home" (or one of the ICE numbers if they have them). The yutz who took my phone turned it off after I called it and it's been turned off ever since. Lost and Found? Oh no, that would be too nice. Call a number? Pssh, please, and let people know I'm a yutz!?
Let's add to the fun!
The motor on my driver's side window burned out a little while ago, but as long as no one tried to roll it down, it was fine. Vallet, though I told them the motor was broken and not to roll it down, they still did, and now it's stuck that way, cracked just 3/4" Between the stress I already had and the window -which doesn't seem like a big deal at all, but it really is. The whistle and sound unbalance made me dizzy and the hot air blowing on one ear and the rest of me being blown on with cold air made me feel ill. Dizzy and ill; not the best combination when driving.- I just about broke down, not good.
Grah! People suck sometimes, I swear!

Some people are just plain evil all the time....
I would stand there and wait until someone calls, tell them what's goin on, and ask for the owner's address & mail the phone back... unless the owner came before I had to mail it....

::huggle::
I'm sorry to hear that people have been so rude to you, and that things haven't been going so well. ::shakes fist at stupid valet::
Eep, if I were put into that cellphone situation... Well, I try not to touch other people's things, out of respect. I'd just leave it there and assume that someone would come back for it.

Gah.. Stupid greedy people! Or, in the case of the Vallet, blatently rude. -_-;
Aaand if I found a cell phone? Well, I tend to assume the worst of humanity so I would pick it up - if only to make sure someone less scrupulous didn't find it and make off with it - but I'd then take it to the lost and found is possible. If there wasnt one I'd check for a number that could be called to find out who the owner is or just wait til they rang it, since thats how most people locate cell phones so it would probably just be a matter of time.
:..2-2-7..:
Idiots indeed.
Next time you find a cell phone keep it. I did that once. XD. Some silly girl left a phone on the bus and I stole it.
<.<
And you should really do something to the valet people. Like sue them. >/

Well, if I found one, I'd either wait till the person came back, or, failing that, I'd try to call one of the important numbers (like a parent or soemthing)...My hearing isn't so good, so I probably wouldn't do all that well (might get someone else to do it)...

I found a wallet once with $234 and a drivers license. The guy got his wallet back with the full $234 it had :)
Which was really hard for me because I was broke at the time. At a beach. On summer vacation.

Yeah but I would crack up the minute he looked in his wallet... I tend to be evil like that when I'm not being nice...

I'm sorry for your troubles person!
If I found a cell phone, I would probably leave it alone and hope the owner would find it, or turn it in to someone I know would give it back to the owner. I'd be a little too shy to call some random person and tell them that somebody's phone is missing, but if it was necessary, I would do it.

People are so silly sometimes. The other day I found a phone, and called a number labeled 'Home'. The lady came and got her phone, then tried to lecture us for going through her address book. -.- It was a Blackberry, too... you think she'd be happy to have it back.
