The Breathing Woods

This place isn't really a temple, but it is set up like one because of how the trees are. Here you find the inner peace of mother nature.

*sits on the ground and closes her eyes*

Meditation is one of many ways to notice the harmony and balance of mother nature. As your conciousness touches the woods around you, you notice that the trees, for example, are alive, truly alive in such a way. ^_^

*From afar, deep inside his mountain, frank has heard the songs.*

Shoden, Sarah, did you hear? Did it not sound like a familiar voice and mind? Let us go see what this new place may be.

dear frank, yes. Let's do! I know that voice. I know that mind. We must go say hello. Call your Shoden that he will take us. Please, dear frank?


*Shoden also, from the very first note, held his head up high to get the direction from which the voice was singing. Stretching out a wing, he lifts both frank and his tiny faerie, puts them on his back, and with a mighty downbeat of his wings is aloft and headed towards the sound.*

It would seem, dear Sarah, that Shoden also wants to visit this new place. And, Lo, there it be, below. Have a care now, Shoden, not to damage any least tree, or branch, or even twig. This looks like the handiwork of the good Rain_Pixie.

*Shoden lands like a floating leaf amidst another wonderful creation of living trees and more than living, and as they all look round, it seems that every thing has had the breath of life blown in.*

*Shoden dismounts frank with Sarah still upon frank's shoulder.*

Oh, dear frank, it is indeed Rain_Pixie and she comes to welcome us. And also my good friend, and yours as well, the enigmatic but delightful BrokenWings.

We should wait here for invitation to enter further, I believe. We would not want to trespass on a Temple's grounds.

[Rain_Pixie]

*sees Big Brother frank, Lady angel faerie Sarah, and Master Shoden at the bottom*

Please excuse me BrokenWings. After I have finished greeting them, I would love to hear more songs, if you don't mind. ^_^

*flies down to the three newcomers and bows*

*her wings beat quickly as she is excited*

Indeed, we did , Little Sister. From atop my Mt. Mekelhorn did we all hear the melody and the beauty of BrokenWings pure voice.

A fitting tribute, as it were, to this your holy ground. A remarkable woods which have your touch, Rain_Pixie.

Thank you for allowing us to gain entrance. And what may we do, in return for this courtesy.

*Sarah cannot contain herself any longer and goes flying off fank's shoulder, her tiny wings beating so excitedly, and sending her motes of fearie dust throughout the air, to land on everyone, transforming them all, seemingly into more magickal creatures than they already are.*

Rain_Pixie, this is truly wonderful. And BrokenWings is here, as well? But what kind of enchantment can there be for my dear frank, and for his monster beast, but ever valiant and trusted companion, Shoden?

What would you have of us, in this grand place?

*And with that, faerie Sarah zips away to hide underneath frank's cape.*

*Shoden simply stands as he usually does, near his friend. But for those who know a dragon's ways, can se the smile and sparkle in his eyes.*

*looks down from the tree to see Rain_pixie talking to frank, Shoden and thought she saw Sarah. jumps down the tree to get a better view.*

^_^ I only ask that you enjoy yourselves here, do what your heart wishes, whether it be writing a poem, or singing a song. Let the essence of nature embrace you with a hug!

By the way, you may hear me talk in a strange way. When my wings flutter, and it seems that crystal, silver, or tiny bells are ringing, I am speaking in the pixie language, one that is old, but still used by many. Is is custom to speak this way in the temples.

*sings a lullaby from 1000 years past, in an ancient, forgotten language*

*Hearing Pixie sing, Saah peeks her head out from underneath frank's cape.*

Oh dear frank, that is really beautiful. It has been so long since I have heard that language. And she sings so well.

*Almost as if she can't control herself, angel faerie Sarah, flies back to perch on frank's shoulder. And begins to sing with Pixie, a song from 1,000 years ago.*

*frank motions to BrokenWings to come on over. He merely beckons but doesn't speak, not wanting to interrupt the song.*

*Then he begins to sing with them, the three singing such an ancient song with such an ancient sound, it makes the creatures of the temple come out and look all round, to see where this almost long-forgotten sound is coming from.*

*the trees sigh with content*

*her wings spreading each lyric for all to hear, she continues to sing*

*nods at BrokenWings to assure her that if she wishes to join, she may*

*sits down on the grass and just watch's them sing,*

*He walks by and notices Pixie, Sene, frank. He decides to got and say hello. He walks in slowly and smiles at them*

*He walks up to them and looks around*

I haven't told you, but I am the summoner of this temple. I also go around and send the fallen so that their spirits can find peace. It takes work to be a summoner, and fortunately I was blessed with the skills to become one. ^_^

And how are you protected, Little Sister? This is indeedvery dangerous work that you do, is it not, regardless of your skills?

[Rain_Pixie]

Yes it is dangerous, and I have been foolish in the past in journeying alone. Mother would constantly worry. A summoner is supposed to have guardians for protection. I haven't journeyed in a while because of this, I was taking too big a risk going alone.

[frank]

And do you need a guardian now? Is that the purpose of this temple--to attract the ones who may be suitable, allowing you to pick whomever you think best?

[Rain_Pixie]

The purpose of this temple is to sharpen your senses and, in a way, becoming closer to nature. Right now, I have one guardian: Mac. A summoner can have more than one though.

[frank]

My dear LIttle Sister, I cannot be your guardian as I feel you want.

I have just returned from a difficult journey, the course of which nearly cost me my life as well as Sarah's and Shoden's.

We need to heal and to rest and become strong again. Do you mind, terribly, if we rest in your woods, until we are strong enough to again take up the lance of chivalry and brotherhood?

[Rain_Pixie]

I don't mind frank, and I understand your need to rest. ^^

*turns to the entrance of the temple and spheres of light glow to show the way. a calm river runs quietly through the rich soil, mossy banks on either side of it. a stone sidewalk is seen leading to hundreds of directions. the trees are sprinkled with fireflies, and crickets softly chirp their lullabies.*

Follow me, I'll show you the way to the chambers.

*walks up the steps to the stone path leading to the left*

[frank]

*follows his Little Sister, trustfully, as she leads them both along the way and he marvels at the globes of light, the chirping of the crickets, and the flickering fireflies.*

*Shoden, also, is enraptured as he walks with frank along the path*

[Rain_Pixie]

*stops and turns down a dark hollow. as she does so, it brightens a little with a trail of fireflies.*

*walks down the hollow a little, then turns to frank, Brother Shoden, and Lady angel faerie Sarah.*

These are the chambers where our guests may stay. Along this hollow are black doors, each with different symbols on them.

*walks up to the door with the symbol of fortune on it*

If you don't mind, this is where you will stay Brother. Once you enter, the room will seemingly become your own world. Anything you wish for the room to have, just place your hand on the symbol, and think it.

*smiles*

I'll get out of the way now since you are weary. If you need me frank, I'll come, no matter what you need.

*steps backward to give the others room*

Thank you, Pixie. This is indeed a generous offer and one which I think we'll need.

*he places his palm on the symbol of fortune as was instructed and immediately the room became his own.*

*tables and chairs, and shelvings, and vials, and powders, and a huge chamber to hold Shoden's bulk, along with a wispy, gauzy, floating hammock for his lovely Sarah.*

*and for him, a huge bed, covered with the finest silken and satin sheets, down-filled pillows that smelled of roses, and covers of the finest purple velvet, trimmed in gold and silver.*

*a floating bar stocked with decanters of every size and shape, filled with every kind of liquid that was good to drink--some to help forget, some to help remember, some to bring your love to it's fullest sense, and some just to warm the heart and mind.*

*white doves with ruby-throated hummingbirds flew around and gave the music that was frank's favorite. *

*at one end a magic waterfall, where he and Sarah could bathe as they wished and know their privacy, and in Shoden's chamber a room filled with a roaring fire that he could take his dragon's delight.*

*Sarah, immediately upon seeing her hammock, dragged her warlock into it with her, and caused the hammock to enclose them like a cocoon.*

*She caused frank's eyes to close and softly crooned a healing song that put them all to sleep.*

*as they rested in each other's arms, even Shoden being asleep, the gods and goddesses came forward and laid their hands upon this gifted pair.*

[Rain_Pixie]

*smiles, hoping frank, Lady angel faerie Sarah, and Brother Shoden are finding peace within their dreams*

*quietly walks away from the chambers, and takes another stone path leading northeast. the creatures of the night peek out at her from their shadows. fireflies swirl around her and the leaves whisper above her*

*gentle golden light appears from another direction. as it gets closer, the light is revealed as Senton. he looks like a 17-year old now, his hair still long, a circlet of braided silver on his head. he is wearing green robes*

~*My lady, did your brother find his chambers appropriate?*~

Yes Senton. He and the others are resting now.

~*Would you like some company Raine? You seem lonely wandering around by yourself.*~

Thank you Senton. I'm going back to the steps, in case more people show up.

*with a smile, Senton walks with Raine back down the stone path*

*In the middle of their healing sleep, an angel came to visit.*

*pure white with a pair of hummingbirds humming 'round her lips.

*now and then she'd show them the tip of her tongue on which floated a crystal drop of liquid.*

*the humming birds would sip these up and take them to frank, his lover faerie, and even unto Shoden, where they'd place their beaks so gentle-like just inside their lips and feed them faerie droplets.*

[Rain_Pixie]

*Senton and Raine return to the entrance of the temple. Senton sits down on the steps, while she continues forward until she's standing alone. she looked out into the distance.*

No one, yet.

*she smiled to herself.*

I'm glad frank and the others are resting peacefully.

*she walked back and sat with Senton on the steps.*

~*Don't worry, Raine. Others will show up soon enough. Keep smiling*~

*after saying that, Senton smiled at Raine. she couldn't help but smile back.*
