10,000 Year Old Tree

This will be my new home.. a giant tree of unimaginable height.. a canopy of leaves so dense it blocks out the sun just like as if it were some thick jungle brush.. so thick you could actually get lost.. the canopy spans miles across at the top.. the tree has several large holes that can be used as rooms, as well as several other cracks, openings and secret pathways that wind up, down, and every which way through the mighty tree trunk..

Surrounding the tree on the outside is a vast grassy field that is covered with flowers of orange, yellow, and white.. to the east of the great tree lies a calm lake which is probably just as old as the tree itself.. the only other presence here is the gentle breeze that blows through the grass and the leaves every now and again..

Hidden away in one of the many holes in the tree is where I shall make my new home.. anyone of a peaceful nature is welcome here.. you may take any room that you please.. but if you wish to speak with me.. you must find me first.. and that won't be so easy..

*disappears into the dark inner chambers of the great tree*

I know this place like the back of my hand.. *his last words echo through the tree and eventually fade away*

It's quiet today.. .. ..not a sound except for the rustling of the leaves..

*climbs up through an opening near the branches of the tree, looks around and begins his long climb to the canopy overhead*

*after about a day's climb, he finally reaches the lush canopy of leaves that shade his home year round*

Whew, finally made it!! *wipes a few drops of sweat from his brow*

*jumps up and climbs onto one of the gigantic leaves of the tree*

I love watching the stars from up here..

*lays down and stares upward into the clear night sky*

*laughs and begins to draw pictures among the thousands of stars with his finger*

I wonder if there are any other planets out there as beautiful as ours??

*continues drawing shapes in the night sky until he falls asleep*

*yawns and opens an eye to the morning sunlight casting down on his face*

mmmmmm.. how long did I sleep?? It feels like it's been days..

*stands up on the giant leaf that made his bed and stretches his arms to the sky*

Grrrrrrrrrr.. that felt good!! Now to find some breakfast..

*looks along the lush, jungle-like tree top for anything that might fill his stomach*

hello?? what have we here??

*off in the distance he spots a giant bird's nest.. with equally giant eggs laying inside*

I think that will do nicely!! Let's just hope that mama bird doesn't come back for a while..

*races off jumping from leaf to leaf toward the unguarded nest*

I can taste those eggs already.. hehehe..

*is walking throught the woods and sees the huge tree and screams really loudly*WOAH THATS A BIG TREE!!!!XD
*plotting eyes*i bet theres monkeys up there<<>>

*as he races toward the eggs all of a sudden he feels the tree shudder as if something had just slammed head on into the side of it*

WHAT THE?!?!

*the tree shakes and he loses his footing and falls backwards down through the canopy*

*after falling what seemed like forever and barely missing sharp branches that would have spelled his doom he lands with a loud thud on one of the more massive branches of the tree*

*hears the thud*hm?that might be a monkey!!!!
*finally after several tries she starts to climb the tree*monkey!!!ooooohh monkey!!!!!XDwhere are you monkey?!!!!!

*still not awake due to his fall from the canopy*

*slowly opens his eyes*

*glomps her and they both fall backwards onto the branch*

:shock: This is where I live sis.. I was about to have breakfast when something crashed into my tree!!

:sta: and if you are hunting monkeys in my tree then I'm perfectly fine with that.. they keep stealing my food when I'm asleep!!

She pops her head in the entrance she made.

She walks in and hugs everyone.

" Hello! Sorry about your house! I couldn't find the enterence... "

She picks him up and shakes him.
