if you don't get it, then allow me to offer a brief explanation:

many jokes start with [sorry, had to use a generic version] 'person A and person B walk into a bar...' these usually go on to say 'person A ordered a...'

in this case, however, it's not a 'bar', as in tavern, or public house, buit instead, as in 'bar of metal'
