who do you think the greatest villians of anime are?

i say the best are God(Eden's Bowy) because for once no power hungry villians, just a vengeful God punishing humans for worshiping the artificial Edens and godhunters. The way he sees it gods watchover humans only because they're scared of godhunters

and the other

Zaha Torte(Spell Wars:Sorceror Hunters Revenge)
for starters he didnt die..he wasnt even hurt by the heros for crying out loud(except for a punch to the stomache, but he killed the guy lol),broke a sword that impaled him,AND his voice in the dub was soooo cool

Gendo Ikari, from Neon Genesis. He's one evil son of a....... and he's supposed to be on the good side! Although Neon Genesis is much more complicated than simply good and evil.....

Gendo Ikari was awsome. I forgot about him.

My favorite villains:

Fallen Noble Darcia from Wolf's Rain - This guy just seemed to be absolutely awosme in every way. Unfortunately I haven't seen the entire series so I'm not sure how he became a wolf in the end.

Nakago from Fushigi Yuugi - He wants to rule the world, plain and simple. Of course his harsh life of having his clan slaughtered and having being raped repeatedly by the King king of forced him to become evil. Even still he was more of a nice guy evil that didn't actually get pleasure out of hurting people, he just simply did what he had to do to succeed. Awsome character but he was killed in a cheap way. They wished for his power to disappear and it did so they murdered Nakago when he was just a weak human.

Valgarv from Slayers Try - Another tortured character. His race of ancient dragon was destroyed by the gold dragons in fear. Valgarv survives and eventually becomes part Mazoku when he joins with Gaav. However, after Gaav is killed by Fbrizzo in season 2, Valgarv goes crazy and tries to release the dark lord of another universe, Darkstar (the universe from the anime series Lost Universe fyi), to destroy all life in their world. Once succeeding he allows Darkstar to kill him but actually fuses with the god. In the end he trie to eliminate all life to allow it to start over again without sin and evil in the world. However, he realizes his error and in the end he destroys himself.

Naraku from InuYasha - Even though I hate the show,I think Naraku rules all.

There are a lot more and it is near impossible to choose just one so I guess I'll stop for now.

^^ditto...he wasn't the only one. faye and electra were also immune to itXD......

i guess naraku is pretty bad too even if he sucks ass. he messed with people relationships and stuff.

the laughing man-he could hack into other cyborgs brains and take over the body.

Slade or Deathsroke

I assum we are talking about the comic book version of Deathstroke. He always was an awsome character, even in the lackluster cartoon series. However, I have to say it's kind of dumb to have changed Deathroke's name in the cartoon. They call him Slade (which is part of his real name in the comics) because his name is too violent yet they keep Brother Blood's name (even though they changed him from a cult leader into a school teacher of sorts)? That's a bit off in my opinion because I see Brother Blood a a bit more violent than a name like Deathstroke.

Anyway he was bad-ass but if we are going into comics then let me get out a list.

From DC Comics my favorite villains was without any competition, the Joker! Deathstroke could come as a possible second or third though.

Now as for Marvel there are a lot more ebcause I loved Marvel far more than DC:

Doctor Doom - This guy has everything that makes him awsome. Kick-ass appearance, amazing scientific prowess, a crap-load of super-powered laser type weaponry, body armor that has built in forcefields, mystical knowledge and power, and the ability to switch minds with another. He even has a damn kingdom of his own (Latveria)! He is without a doubt the best comic villain of all and has never been killed and is even seen in the future (about 500 years later) still thriving!

Sabretooth (AKA Victor Creed)- This guy has been in so many battles. He is just so damn cool and has the greatest rivalry I've seen anywhere going with Wolverine. I love both him and Logan equally. The battles they have with each otehr tend to be some of the most violent I have ever seen, for example Wolverine has even stabbed a claw right through Sabretooth's brain before! Now they both have adamantium in the comics so it'll be interesting to see their next battle! (Even though I stpped reading years ago.)

Magneto and Stryfe, are also favorites but I'm tired of writing this post.

The Doctor from Yu Yu Hakusho Chapter Black Saga Uncut. He seems to really enjoy saying "piss". Too bad they probably cut even that out from cartoon network.

lol

the demon king Yomi(YYH),last villian of Yu Yu Hakusho quite a noble king though his unifying the demon world would be bad news for the spirit and human world.at 1st he was going to conquer King Raizen and Mukuro's territories but Yusuke proposed a tournament for claim to the deceaced Raizen's territory.Yomi may have forced Kurama into joining him by threating to kill his parents but even thouh he didnt unify the demon world he said he forgave kurama for his crimes and making him blind 1000 years ago saying he will always be welcome in his kingdom and departed to train Shura(his halfbreed son)he's the only villian t odefeat Yusuke, and as opposed to killing him,he left him in a hospital and challenged him to a rematch in 3 years 8)

Enishi Yukishiro from Rurouni Kenshin third story arc.
The brother-n-law of Kenshin and now leader of the Shanghai black market and the man who organizes 5 others all with the intent of gaining revenge on Kenshin in an all out slaughter. He also is the man who supplied Makoto Shishio with his steel-plated battleship. Also, he just looks cool.

Villains.. wonder why I like them and pity them so much. To make it clear, I DON'T like villains who are pure evil, have no reason, no emotion and no desire to repent for their sins. (that was Muraki-loser in Yami no Matsuei and Orochimoron in Naruto)

I like many. Let's start with Creed Diskence in "Black Cat". Unbelievable how my opinion on him changed so much. After his -deed- in episode 6-7 I started hating him. I cursed every moment his face appeared on the screen (although he WAS quite handsome, I had to admit) or his voice on the background. I didn't have enough words to insult him. But one thing was certain. I didn't hate him as much as Muraki, and that alone meant that he had a tiny chance of being forgiven. And he was. So much hatred was in me for nearly 20 episodes and then in one single instant it all went away. I wonder why I'm like that. As soon as a villain realizes his fault I start pitying him. I just can't hate him anymore. I can't say I love him, but I definitely respect him now.

Akito from "Fruits Basket". Though I don't really consider him a villain, many people do. Yes, he is not the kindest person. Lonely. Cruel. Angry. But not evil, not heartless. It took me a lot of effort to like him. I never hated him. I kept thinking "He can't just be like that.. there must be a reason." And while my friends talked crap about him, I kept thinking that. Even when he hurt my favorite characters. I couldn't help it I guess. And he has his reasons. He's angry at the wrong people, but do you always think straight when you're abandoned and betrayed? I think not.

Kuroro Lucifer from "Hunter x Hunter". I.Can't.Help.It. Yeah..normally I would hate this cold, heartless, cruel person, but... he doesn't seem evil at all =/ He is so calm and composed. And I don't know a whole lot about him. I don't know why he orders to kill people; but he doesn't look like he is getting pleasure from it. He just seems like such a kind person >_< He always speaks softly and he cares about his comrades. He gives out orders but he doesn't go and shoot people for the heck of it. I'd have to know his goals to judge him, but for now I like him a lot.

- - -

Mixed feelings.

Hisoka from "Hunter x Hunter". I honestly can't read that guy. Everytime I see him, my mind is full of "What the hell is your goal? Why are you trying to help the person you almost killed yesterday?" He is full of mystery and confusion. Not a single thing is known about him. One moment he is with bad guys, next moment he is on good side again. I'm not sure what category to put him in. And I think even if I DO put a label on him, he will not like it and try his best to get out of it. I don't think he is a villain but at times he is so effin heartless I think he is as cruel as Muraki. Hopefully they'll open him up one day.

the Peacemakers(Scrapped Princess)
just love how they are the apostles of God,for villians they arent really doing anything evil since they keep mankind from wiping themselves out(via eternally keeping their level of technology in the medevil time period)^^

besides, Second Degree executor of divine justice is such an awesome thing to say prior to transforming(God doesnt let them go into 1st degree form in the atmosphere)

has it really been over a yr sense i made this....wow

Sabrac The Destruction Blade(Shakugan No Shana II)
seems to be a king that likes fighting powerful enemies at the request of others, kinda makes him like Metamorphosis.Anyhoo he's like a grim reaper for flamehaze.very few survive encounters with him due to his unique abilities that make him a dues ex machina and his usual method of killing off enemies in one blow. The guy cruises around town on a tidal wave of his flames which is filled with hundreds of swords, talk about badass

he instantly became awesome when i saw Wilhelmina wrap one of her ribbons around his sword and try to pull it from him,and what does he do he rips off his arm which ignites like a jet engine as his sword not only zooms at her like a missile but explodes into phalanx fire after it misses!!!then theres his unristricted method(a spell basiclly) stigmata which causes any wound he inflicts to get wider as time passes and to practically negate all forms of healing.

you know your a powerful villian when the only way to kill you is a plan to magically seperate your body and mind then kill you....not to mention a good 1/4th the city was wiped out(good thing fuzetsus stop time)
