SUICIDE BOMBERS---JUSTIFIED OR NOT?

This can be a very explosive topic. It is not intended to become a platform for anyone's personal hatreds or prejudisms. It is intended to explore the rationale for and the arguments against acts of terrorism in the world which have become labeled, "suicide bombings."

The guidelines are simple: Present your case for or against and see what develops. Certainly, if someone replies to your post, answer if you wish. But please, no insults, no personally offensive statements, no flaming, baiting, and generally, if we follow the 13 rules, it'll all be good.

I cant justify it myself..because I can't see the point in blowing yourself up to kill
other people.....It's just pointless in my opinion....

But For some it is the way to show their love for a leader or their country....Like I said,
it makes no sense to me..But for other countries it is a justified act. Just because a
lot of people find it wrong doesn't make it wrong...It's a matter of opinion.

saying that, i am against suicide bombing. i highly disapprove of killing, unless its in a game lol, and as i said above, suicide. so, to kill yourself and other people..thats like..bad! i believe this in both religious and personal beliefs. ^_^

Well according to religions, suicide bombing is never justified. religion promotes peace as well as unity among the nations. Also most of the suicide bombers who claim that is was done for religious beliefs were misguided by their leaders. I don't believe that it was the fault of the bombers but of the ones who told them to do it. Of course this is just an opinion. My 15 years of studying religion has nothing to do with it.

In my opinion.....it's completely not justifiable.... if you kill yourself....we can't save everyone...(I sorry to say....), but don't take it out on innocent people. They have a right to live like anyone else..... that is pretty much a given since most people for the most part a innocent........... death isn't a game... you die, that's it....no turning back and certainly no redos..... unless reincarnation is your thing.... but that is beside the point, you want to kill yourself and others too, you better think the whole thing through and realize how stupid it is....... you guys all made good points and I didn't have alot to say cuz you said it for me ^^

Consider: Here is a beautiful cathedral, or mosque, or library, museum, etc. Or school!! Or hospital!! But because some fool idiot who couldn't think for him/her self and was indoctrinated from the age of 2 or 3, that it was their "divine mission" to wreak havoc upon an unseen, unheard, and unknown enemy, that by destroying the wrold's architecture and knowledge, not to mention the world's innocent children and their mothers and fathers, that this is a just and holy cause?

What religion gives credence to that kind of insanity? None that I know of, not even the Koran, which is no less vindictive and retribution-seeking than the King James Bible. Both preach and admonish that acts of cold-blooded murder are wrong.

There is no argument for the rationale. There is the evidence that it exists, but not the justification. How can killing an innocent child be justified. How can blowing up a hospital be justified? How can demoloshing a school building filled with young students (or old) be justified. It cannot!! It happens, but that doesn't create a justification.

Nor can it hide behind religious fervor and zeal. That kind of inhumane action can only be justified in terms of complete & certifiable madness or insanity.
