I just wanted to suggest maybe having online journals in here.

well, i have one at animeleague.com and that's the only thing keeping me there. if we had one here, then i could give 100% of my attention to here...in which i would rather do.

I say no at the moment.

Mainly for the following reasons:

Some people will abuse this right and swear, b!tch, and complain about others

Personally details and so on

Responsibilites of moding them

So, a firm NO, for the moment ^^

Maybe you can do something about the swearing. I've seen plenty of sites with program code to stop being saying the 'f' word over and over again.

Yes, personal details are a problem (but it's their fault, not ours, if they get harassed by someone when they put their address up)

That's my opinion. But, since I'm no mod/admin, their vote is final.

I do that kind of online blogging myself, and have to say it's fun. ^^

And if you feel like sharing, you can place a link in your sig. Making a whole forums merely for that purpose is a little too mucho, I think.

Yeah it would be okay, i guess, but i started one, like a month ago, and have only written in it twice, i think you have to be committed...but then if there was one here maybe it would give me that extra boost to actually do something.

Cinder had given it the okay about 2 months ago but said it would have to wait until they had finished moving. I've been patient but I'm starting to wonder if he forgot...

I doubt that he has forgotten. Right now, I think that we should just stick with his decision to wait though.

Anyway, I'll ask him about it later. Right now, though, I think that I'll lock this topic to prevent spam. We can reopen it later when the subject of ACF Journals comes about again.

I still don't like the idea...

me' tinks it will be too much of a pain to mod, make sure people are compiling and if its neglected it might become botted just like the guestbook...

then again, its Cinders decesion.

Okay, i know you'd prefer a proper journal on the mainpage where you can submit your thoughts/rantings properly. But that requires alot of programming that i am not really 100% on.

So meanwhile i have added a simple journal section to the forum, where only you can reply to. So it shouldn't get spammed up.. if this picks up i will look into getting something proper to add to the mainpage.
