Anybody have yahoo and can't use the chat feature?

I hope i'm in the right fourm, i went to the help one but they told me I was in the wrong fourm. I can't use chat it says connecting to chat took longer than expected whenever I try to go to a yahoo chat room

yea, this does belong in help. i dont know why anyone would disagree with that, after all, you need help with YIM.

Now about the error, it can be if you have too many things connecting to the net, and it keeps gettting timed out. What is your connection, DSL, cable, 56k dialup 28k dialup?

Or it could be a software problem.

asidee that - have you tried the fact your java might be screwed? Mine is. it hates chat applets. you might want to look into that and see whether it's your java setup.
