What If ......

What if you could take any movie you want and turn it into an anime. What movie would it be and why would you do it. Also who would you want to animate it.

I would have to go with one of my all time favs. The Fifth Elemant. I think it would be a great anime. I would make it darker and take out some of the silly stuff. With the style and theme of the movie I would want Masamune Shiro to do the animation. The animation style that Shiro does I think would fit well. With movies like Ghost in the Shell and Intron Depot how could you go wrong.

I'm not too familiar with animators at all. However, the one movie that I would like to see done as an anime is Independance Day. I think that that would be a real kickass anime to watch. As a movie or even as a small series, that would just be awesome.

Another one that I could see being done as an Anime is Tango and Cash. Though that would be a series rather than just a movie Anime. That would be pretty funny to watch.

Men in Black is already a cartoon series though. Or, at least it used to be...The WB had someone do that. It wasn't anime but...it was animated. And really cornballish too. Because it sucked, I think that it only stuck around for like 1 or 2 seasons and that's it.

Cool Independance Day would be a good one. Antoher one I think would be good is Robot Jocks. What a classic. I love that movie. I think it would make a great anime. Movie or series, both would be good. Have it animated by the person who did Bakuretsu Tenchi. I think the animation style would be great for it.

I'd have casshern, re-animated! it was originally animated in the 70's and is now a live action movie!

I'd prolly want to see something like a war epic such as kingdom of heaven as an anime, coz the sound that can be achieved would defintely bring a new added impact to the death and glory of war.

Also, something like HERO, for the colours that could be expressed, different tones and sketches, adifferent art work instead of colours maybe?

Also, Kirrua, just noticed your banner is from Casshern, way to go! thats an excellent battle scene, was jumping about when i saw it, love the music too :)

wow I'm glad someone noticed. I agree Casshern is a great choice but I didn't say anything because it was an anime. :wink: The anime kinda sucked though, so yeah if they redid it that would be cool.
